Theae “Airguns” are actually awesome. Some of the more expensive ones are capable of being used for hunting.

I own one.
It shoots a .495 round ball.
Air is provided by a scuba tank.

Theae Airguns are actually awesome. Some of the more expensive ones are capable of being used for hunting. Air rifles are limited to 12 ft. lbs. of muzzle energy in the U.K. Anything more powerful than that requires the usual firearm purchase process and licensing. In comparison, a .22 Short standard velocity cartridge packs around 70 ft. lbs. Lots of the better air rifles are detuned for the U.K. market.

There's a couple of PCP's I'd like to buy that are on the low end of the cost spectrum but they're still over $1,000. That's just the rifle, then there's the scope and mounts, the fill tanks and their respective hardware. Probably close to $2,000 when you're done.

They’re junk. All are below 12 ft/lbs. Any air rifle with more power than that requires a Firearms Certificate and a Police approved gun safe in the UK.

I use my air rifle for shooting deer.
They need to be plinked to keep them put of the garden.
They know better but come back
