I wouldn’t mind that when the time comes. If I lose Beau anytime before he’s 70, this farm is going to be onehelluva lot of work for me, all alone!
You should be proud; you just shouldn’t be surprised that young people who aren’t paid via tax dollars (whether as a government employee or contractor) aren’t rushing to throw money into the pot to pay them.
Oh, ok. I get it.
Personally, I think they are going to be among the last ones to feel the crunch that is headed our way. My biggest concern is they are so young, they will think the EBT rioters will let them get through.
Here in NJ government workers are our new upper middle class, as decent private-sector jobs (and employers) leave and McJobs seem to be all that is available to most people. Because older people can’t afford to retire, often waiting to sell homes that nobody wants (because their retirement income won’t cover the property tax bills), they remain in jobs well past retirement age (taking those older, better jobs with benefits off the table for young people).
In any case, God watch over them in their work; hopefully the internet has spread enough footage our media has suppressed to keep them vigilant.
Hubby went into the Navy right after HS, he’d of been drafted any way in a couple of yrs. His 2 older brothers were power line men, WW2 and Korean Veterans, led their own crews. His son did a stint in the Marines, does the same in FL and they send his crew all over when there are disasters that knock out power. All very hard workers. His 3 daughters are all college educated and either have high paid jobs or own their own IT businesses. He spent 20 yrs career Navy, electronics/computers, got out went to college, got teaching degree. spent 20 years teaching Jr. College to the IDIOTS who were given grades in Memphis, they all had A/B’s in math, all had to take REMEDIAL math, in order to take his classes. Not so the foreign students.
I may only have a HS education, but I test out 3rd year college as I never ceased to learn. Only area I’m really challenged in is math, I see the numbers wrong, a type of dyslexia.
That which you don’t earn, comes back to bite you in the butt.
and,its WHAT USED TO BE NORMAL and is still the norm in most of the world...
why do the Asian immigrants particularly do so well in America?...because they have grandma and pa and mom and dad and adult children and little children living together to save money...
you worked 30 whole years...wow...poor guy...nice to get that fat govt check...make sure to vote rat so you continue to get it...
