Late Thursday evening, the Wall Street Journal reported, 51 State Department officials signed a statement condemning U.S. policy in Syria in which they repeatedly call for targeted military strikes against the Damascus government and urging regime change as the only way to defeat Islamic State.
In other words, as Zero Hedge summarized, over 50 top diplomats are urging to eliminate [Syrian Pres. Bashar al] Assad in order to defeat ISIS, the same ISIS which top US diplomats had unleashed previously in order to eliminate Assad.
This gordian knot created by United States foreign policy and intensified by that same policy means not only could war with Syria be on the horizon, but if that happens, the U.S. could be facing a far more serious threat.
While discontented officials used whats known as the Dissent Channel an official forum that allows employees to express opposing views, State Department spokesman John Kirby explained in the WSJ Saudi government officials employed more direct means to press their interests with the U.S. in Syria.

The goal of defeating ISIS is just some pablum that is being fed to the populace, in order to get support for using the US military in Syria. Obviously, if anyone looks at this in a logical way, the major objective of these people is to remove Assad, not to fight ISIS.
ISIS, to these people, is not the enemy. The belief is you can make deals with them, use them for more strategic objectives. Strategically, the enemy is RUSSIA, not ISIS.
5. Or it’s the fault of the NRA.
If I were a carrier admiral in the area (or someone of similar responsibility) I would already have been very carefully looking at ways to get my own ‘hot line’ to the Red forces. So if 4M orders me to blow up ‘insurgents’ that look suspiciously Russian or ‘enforce a no fly zone’ with MiG’s buzzing around my ears, I can warn them and avoid giving Ivan a perfectly legitimate reason to go full-bore on my nation.
Obama is ISIS, he wants to win.
Can’t we just arm obozo and Hillary, point them in the direction of Syria and tell them to take care of the mess they created? Heck - we could even drop them out of an airplane over the battlefield. Anything - just get them out of our hair! And since when do State Department employees get to be for or against policies of the U. S.? Are they not just bureaucrats without any cabinet standing?
On second thought, send Kirby with obozo and Hillary!

RE: #23
Unfortunately, the 4M administration has seeded the pentagon with CAIR and muslim brotherhood affiliated people. I’m sure on a ship as important as a aircraft carrier there are planted “political officers” keeping an eye on the command leadership.
Why else would so many senior military officers get relieved of duty under the 4M presidency?
“....are urging to eliminate [Syrian Pres. Bashar al] Assad in order to defeat ISIS...”
Let me get this straight - 51 US diplomats want to kill Assad who is being protected by Russia. Now,
1. How will that improved the Obama-caused turmoil in the Middle-east?
2. What advantage will the US gain?
3. Who will fill the void?
4. What will be the Russian response be?
5. What business does the US have in interfering with those people.
6, Is Obama trying to stir the pot to leave the Mideast as a worse nightmare for the next administration than it is already.
Quite the contrary.
Assad is fighting the terrorists.
Deposing him will give ISIS a clear path to dominating Syria.
Wherever in the mid-east the US Government tries, or claims to be trying, to spread democracy the country ends up worse off.
Libya, Egypt, Iraq, now Syria.
If Assad falls and ISIS takes over Syria Barack Obama will be happy.
I also trust the drinking water in Mexico more than I trust the Clinton/Obama regime.
Short answer, there's nothing wrong with your logic circuits.
Attacking Assad will do absolutely *nothing* to defeat ISIS, and in fact, will likely make them stronger...
