(CNSNews.com) - Following the Senate rejection of a series of new gun control measures on Monday, Minority Leader Sen. Harry Reid (D- Nev.) told fellow senators “the NRA doesn’t care about you” adding that the National Rifle Association doesn’t care for the constituents of lawmakers and “it doesn’t care about the constitutional rights of the followers.”

“Here’s a little secret for my Republican colleagues,” Reid said on the floor of the Senate Tuesday morning, “The NRA doesn’t care about you. It doesn’t care about your constituents, it doesn’t care about the constitutional rights of the followers.”

“The NRA and its leadership care about two things: making money from gun manufacturers and making money from the NRA and selling more guns,” Reid continued.

Well, Harry, it was done by one of your “protected Class” people, a Muslim. Think about that for a second, Harry, you protect these people and this is how they treat you back

Poor Harry: he’s so punch drunk that he misspoke; this is no doubt what he meant to say:

“Here’s a little secret for my Republican colleagues,” Reid said on the floor of the Senate Tuesday morning, “The DNC doesn’t care about you. It doesn’t care about your constituents, it doesn’t care about the constitutional rights of the followers.”

I have several letters saved in a Word file called NRA Treason. This article gave me another opportuity to send a letter to Wayne LaPierre and include the latest rank of dear Harry .

The article below illustrates how the NRA has become an organization which will make any compromise necessary to retain an appearance of power within the cohort of Washington's elites who seek to become part of a latter day nobility. NRA support for Harry Reid (who voted with 45 other traitors to support the U.N. Small Arms Treaty), and over 60 incumbent House Democrats during the 2010 campaigns are unforgiveable examples of using political skills to increase acclaim among those possessing or seeking membership in the new aristocracy.

I am disgusted that organizations such as the NRA that should have a clear understanding of Constitutional principles and ethics, could engage in such myopic, degraded Washington politics. Unflagging support of all Constitutional principles must be the litmus test for candidates and legislation, because no single Article in our Bill of Rights can be maintained independent of the others.

Sen. Reid: The NRA Doesn't Care About The Constitutional Rights By Eric Scheiner | June 21, 2016 | 11:20 AM EDT
(CNSNews.com) - Following the Senate rejection of a series of new gun control measures on Monday, Minority Leader Sen. Harry Reid (D- Nev.) told fellow senators "the NRA doesn't care about you"; adding that the National Rifle Association doesn't care for the constituents of lawmakers and it doesn't care about the constitutional rights of the followers."

"Here's a little secret for my Republican colleagues,"Reid said on the floor of the Senate Tuesday morning, "The NRA doesn't care about you. It doesn't care about your constituents, it doesn't care about the constitutional rights of the followers."

"The NRA and its leadership care about two things: making money from gun manufacturers and making money from the NRA and selling more guns" Reid continued.

"NRA wants manufacturers to be able to make more guns. Never enough. NRA wants to have more firearms sold. More guns sold means more money, more donations for their bottom line.

"During times of crisis when Americans should be coming together to find these common sense solutions; what does NRA do? They raise every dollar they can by spreading lies and fomenting these conspiracy theories.

"The mail is out folks - go to your mailbox, direct mail is their specialty. They can circulate false direct mailers to their followers. For example, Congress is trying to take away your guns or President Obama wants to confiscate your firearms" Reid said.

Be assured The NRA will never receive any help from me beyond the gun club membership payment, which I am compelled to make. I will always have the greatest of contempt for you and your organization.

So you're saying that they can care about Constitutional rights and still endorse Reid?

Interesting — though I will admit that I have been utterly disappointed by the NRA's [lack of] legal activity: I personally know of two State issues that were/are slam-dunk cases of State Constitution vs. State 'law' where they refused any involvement/help. I also note that they don't fight against current unlawful firearms law at the federal level, an example of which is the Brady amendment to the GCA which imposes Ex Post Facto punishments on those who were serving or had already served their sentences and thus is strictly forbidden by the Constitution.

Harry Reid’s a fool. He thinks radical islamic killers will obey gun control laws.

In short Harry Reid’s an idiot with no insight into human nature or he’s a corrupt liar who thinks this issue will help his team.

Patriots, please note the following concerning constitutional gun rights.

In addition to the issue of personal rights which the states have amended the Constitution to expressly protect, the federal government has only those powers which the states have delegated to the feds expressly via the Constitution.

In fact, a previous generaton of state sovereignty-respecting justices had clarified in broad language that powers that the states have not delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate civilian-related arms in this example, are prohibited to the feds.

”From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added].” —United States v. Butler, 1936.

And regarding so-called civilian-related federal gun laws, the federal government’s big constitutional problem is that the states have never amended the constitution to expressly delegate the specific power to regulate such arms to the feds.

In fact, it is disturbing that federal gun laws which regulate civilian arms don’t seem to have appeared in the books until the time of the FDR Administration, FDR and the Congress at the time infamous for making laws based on powers which the states have never delegated to the feds expressly via the Constitution.

Insights, corrections welcome.

And the Democrats like Harry Reid don’t care about minorities - they only like their votes bought with years and years of welfare checks. Proof is in “The Hood.”

I never heard they did support Reid until someone here said they did. It's amazing how fast rumors spread.
