Two women were arrested at a Kansas City shopping center after leaving a baby in a hot car while they shopped.
Jamila Scott and Jaylyn Lux have been charged with child endangerment after a woman found an infant in a car over 86 degrees. The women were shopping in a CitiTrends while the baby was left in the car, with one window slightly cracked.
The woman told the manager of the CitiTrends, Kimberly Wilson, who then told shoppers that there was a baby left in a car and she was going to call the police. After Wilson made that announcement, Scott and Lux continued to shop.
When paramedics arrived on the scene, Scott asked one of them if they had seen a 9-month-old and said that she was the child’s aunt. The baby was taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital and treated for heat exhaustion and dehydration.
Lux and Scott were then immediately arrested, and during questioning by the police, Scott admitted to leaving the baby in the car.
The women are being held on a $20,000 bond.

Yes, I also remember that, but we were not infants.
I also remember moving over to the driver’s seat and playing with all the knobs and switches. When the car was started back up, the radio would come on at full volume, the windshield wipers would start moving, and the heater fan would come to life, lol.

I loved it when Dad would stop at the local pub for a couple of beers. There was an offsale window and all we had to do was ring the buzzer and we would Get poorboys, chips, cokes, peanuts you name it.

two young children have died in similar circumstances this year in Mississippi.
But it was much cooler back then as our kiddos didn’t have to deal with the consequences of global warming. /s/

Get that child into some kind of protective custody and adopted so she doesn’t have to be raised by these things.

Watched Wheel of Fortune last night. One contestant was Black and had three or four children whom she named. Could not understand one of their names. But it’s not only Black names. White parents often give their children common names but think they have to jazz up the spelling - Ryan spelled as Ryyeayn or Cindy spelled as Synday. No wonder children can’t spell.
