Why not read his comments in the Israeli news? They are extensively quoted. He said nothing of the kind

He didn’t say it. His remarks are covered in the Israeli news and that is not what he said

He didn’t say anything of the sort. Read his remarks in the Israeli papers rather than the lying Arab press

I hope it’s inaccurate. But if there’s some truth in it, it would seem to explain both the inaction of the U.S. against ISIS in Syria along with the ravings of the über hawks in demanding removal of Assad and arming the jihad. Yes, yes, I know, “the moderate, good jihadists”. It would also explain Israel treating wounded ISIS and Al Qaeda fighters from Syria.

This is not new, and not unique to this one officer, Israel, or anyone else in the region.

So many groups in the region have been at each others throats for so long, while frequently changing sides.

You just can’t trust them. Long term, your best bet is that they stay weak, and punch themselves out with each other, before they turn on you.

The old joke when asking which side to back, is: Can’t they both lose?

Israelis are culturally exceptionally open about expressing opinions and debating things. Most likely this guy was brainstorming with his audience - just his opinion, rather than leaking an official secret policy.

If the message has not been lost in translation, and this is what learned men in Israel believe, I am saddened and greatly disturbed by it. Surely there are other ways for this country to survive.

I don’t know anything about the source of this story, I never clicked on it as I do not generally click on links I’m not familiar with.

I simply read what was posted.

If this is a suspect source or disreputable website, then it should be reported and removed.

But now I am curious.

Has Israel mobilized militarily against ISIS?

Just noticed that this is a Syrian news source.

Forget about the slightest shred of credibility concerning anything with Israel or Jews.

AS Crap.

Nothing like jihadi sources for truth when it comes to IDF security quotes.

Here is something he did say: The Islamic State is the “bad in the world, the Amalek of 2016,” he said, using the name of a biblical tribe that is seen as the epitome of evil.

Are you Rick Wiles? The Chief Editor of veteranstoday.com? or are you turcopolier?

A two second google search shows only jihadi propaganda sites, known anti Semitic propaganda sites and your post on FR carrying this crap.

As an investigator I learned the invaluable skill of not dismissing something outright because of the dubiousness of the source.

As an investigator (government?) what are your thoughts on why your source and the good turcopolier put Israel in double quotes - twice?

Are you on the government payroll now?

one of the problems Israeli democracy has ... is similar to a problem American democracy (or representational govt) has...

a number of political hacks (or agency chiefs or whatnot) who SHOOT THEIR DA8NED MOUTHS OFF, saying almost anything or everything imaginable...and then some...

In USA, Its Obama, Pelosi, McCain, Boxer, Feinstein, Lynch, and a couple dozen more...who continually make incorrect or insane or just downright lying statements

In Israel it includes Herzog and several additional

just because this guy has a high position and says its Israeli govt policy does not make it so

I will wait until confirmation comes in, if it does...
before jumping to conclusions

(I bet Bibi wishes he could install a few muzzles...)

Why not use the Kurds to create a buffer between Iran and Syria?

How about building a Christian state instead of wasting time with more bearded savages?

Unfortunately we are not in charge. The NeoConvicts are and they plan to level Syria to make way for a House Saud and House Qatari Spice Pipeline.

Yes, I am aware of what it is, but I also see that it has not been taken down, and my question of whether or not Israel has mobilized against ISIS was not answered, so I really don’t know what to think.
