A funny related aside. I worked for a venture-financed startup company about 14 years ago. I wrote and won a Navy SBIR contract that we completed. I was contacted last week by Navy contractor to determine the “benefits” produced from that contract. In the real world, that tech has gone through two or three generations of improvements since then. What a stupid and wasteful project to measure benefits of ancient tech. Maybe they should measure the benefits of the steamship while they are at it.
