Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski is leaving the campaign, just weeks before the Republican convention where Trump is set to claim the GOP presidential nomination.

A Trump senior campaign aide confirmed to Fox News Monday morning that Lewandowski is no longer with the campaign.

It's unclear what specifically led to the shake-up. The high-profile departure of one of Trump's most senior and loyal advisers follows what was widely seen as a rough patch for the campaign.

Watching Stuart Varney and I’ve come to the conclusion Varney holds Donald Trump in disdain. He’s acting, well maybe not acting, like a tool for the establishment!

Revolutionaries seldom survive the Revolution.

Lewandoski was the torch bearer needed to help scorch the earth, and then salt the fields of primary opponents. How many of those have ANY political future? “Low Energy” Jeb?, “Lyin Ted”, “Little Marco”? A job well done, thank you. (Probably a nice check to go along with the dismissal.)

As has always be said, “Every toolbox needs a Hammer”. The right tool for the job. But, if the only tool you have is a hammer, then every problem looks like a nail.

Not what you need for the future. Pivoting at this time to Manafort for the convention makes sense.

Things have been very quite in the Trump campaign for about 3 weeks...

Trump is getting ready to move in another direction, election mode, he will be out of ‘primary’ mode at convention time...

Cory and Trump are great friends and always will be, but now it's time to turn the reins to a ‘professional’ which Cory is to a degree, but Manafort is like a ‘god father’ person, if you have watched his eyes when he's being interviewed you will see what I'm saying...

The media twits will milk this for all it's worth, but don't forget, Trump, Cory, Hope, Dan, Paul, Christie and Dr. Carson have been friends for years and will remain so...

:: and Trump has had time see if they can work together. ::

I think you nailed it. Trump is a very good judge of character which includes loyalty and the desire to be productive. If they were constantly at each others throats, someone had to leave.

It would not surprise me that Trump sat down with each man, individually, and requested a 5 minute assessment of their efforts and where the problem might be.

He made a considered decision and found Lewandowski to be redundant. I’d hope Lewandowski doesn’t lash back.

If what I posted above is true, then Lewandowski should be as professional as Trump and simply move on to the next opportunity.

Hmmmmmmm, maybe I should start that campaign to unseat Cornyn?

Hume has a stick up his a$$ for Trump. For the 8000th time yesterday on Fox News he emphasized the damage done by Trump and the attack on the Mexican judge. Although old news, Hume obviously wants to maximize the damage, if any, to Donald. Hume is just a bitter old man.

Yeah, I see this as the end result of the blame game over the past two months. When the media stopped treating Trump as something to watch, an interesting side to what has been anything but normal election ebbs and flows to actually turning on him.

It’s a lot longer than “two months” .The media has been carpet bombing Trump near non stop since the KKK nonsense. That was in February. My how time flies.

The Rat media is hailing the demise of Trump, but Trump is a great businessman and fires those that are not cutting it. Unlike all of the slugs in Government service, that know they have a job for life on the Government dole.

So...Jeb and Rubio and Cruz and Christie and Kasich weren’t seasoned professionals?

Compared to the Clintons? Cruz, Christie, and Kasich are rank amateurs compared to the Clintons.

I don’t know as I’ve ever heard who runs Hillary’s campaign. Does anyone know? It has to be one of the old hold-overs from the early days. They’re all still around, I’m sure - we couldn’t be lucky enough to have seen the end of most of them.

Well if the last few weeks are any indication of his “expertise” I’ll take CL back. Manafort has been a disaster. trump has been on complete defense these last few weeks taking it on the chin and reacting.

he needs to get with it

Hillary is also spending $40 million on TV for the next six weeks.

Trump is spending $0.

I'll only be shocked if Lewandowski gets booted from the Trump organization and is not given job elsewhere.

Relative youngster Robby Mook is Hillary’s campaign manager. He knows how to stay out of the spotlight, which probably helps the Hillary campaign.

Trump has a crucial additional problem of the internal GOP saboteurs starting with Paul Ryan. Trump/Manafort have got to neutralize those GOP “leaders” who are actively undermining the campaign and working to elect Hillary Clinton.
