Why pick that fight with the Germans and the French? What is to gain? Will the French lie down? Will the Germans suddenly like the Engish? Will the Prussians come back? Screw Europe. Its dying. Look to the future. The West. The Far East. The rest of the world. Europe is nothing but museums, muslims and crazy people who have no hope of excellence. iPhone invented in Europe? Nope. Medical advances? nope. Finance? London or New York, matey... What can Europe possible have to offer the world? Its a failed state of communal losers who live on the backs of the few productive souls stupid enough to stay for the castles... WAKE UP!!!
The British would prevent the French from dominating. And at the same time they would be able to lead a group of 500 million people.
They already do -- one of the favorite programs on German TV is an Aussie (ok, Aussie, yes, but to the Germans an Anglo-Saxon) talking about German history to Germans.
The Germans kind of like their peculiar Anglo-Saxon cousins
Prussia no longer exists -- On 25 February 1947, representatives of the Allied occupation authorities in Berlin signed a law abolishing the state of PRussia
The Prussian state, which from early days has been a bearer of militarism and reaction in Germany, has de facto ceased to exist. Guided by the interests of preservation of peace and security of peoples, and with the desire to assure further reconstruction of the political life of Germany on a democratic basis, the Control Council enacts as follows:This was LAw # 46 of the allied control council that expunged Prussia from the map of Europe
ARTICLE I
The Prussian State together with its central government and all its agencies is abolished.
April, your lack of knowledge is showing.
Did you, April Lexington know that the % of Moslems in the EU is 3% -- granted 3% is 3% too high, but hardly "nothing but MOslems"
April, your lack of knowledge is showing.
firstly, the iPhone, while a great marketing tool, didn't invent any new component -- there were smartphones and even touch-screen phones before. Apples brought its skills at simplifying existing technologies to fore here
However, let's look at some of the things that were "invented" in the EU -- and look at Apple's predecessor at the top of the mobile phone manufacturers heap: Nokia from Finland was successful for years. Then, Skype was invented in Estonia. You are correct that Europe is nowhere near the US's levels of inventiveness, but one advantage the US has is a huge market, which is what the EU is out to emulate
As for Finance -- you do realise that London is getting a run for its money from Singapore and Dubai. In Europe you have Euronext and Deutsche Bourse behind London.
London is a great financial center, yes, but if the UK leaves the EU, then these days are numbered.
Let me repeat what I posted above: The UK already has 24% of employees working in the Public sector -- compare that to Germany with just 15% or France with 20%. The UK's public sector even more than Italys (17%)
And the Scots are unhappy that this number of 24% is after cuts by the tories -- they want it back up to 27%
The UK already has a larger welfare organization than many other EU countries, so what are you talking about?
