...force change...???? Oh please.... When will all of this start? When will the UK force any change what so ever? They tell us how high the children’s swings must be set. Micro-management on steroids. Big Brother on Steroids... Siding with Brussels is siding with statism and that is not in the best interests of the UK. Rule the world for crying out loud. Just imagine the world today without British influence. Stop siding with the losers... Grow a spine and lead!!! The world is desperate for British culture and leadership and you wimp are scurrying off to the EU to join mediocracy.
Plus... Germany is a ghost of itself. All of the brave Germans either migrated to the Western Hemisphere or died in the last two world wars. The Germans of today are even wimpier than the British... A threat to nobody. Oh, how Putin must laugh...

Furthermore you're just repeating another myth from the Daily Express. No-one was ordered to remove their playground sings. the non-mandatory measure referred to had nothing to do with the EU -- this was part of the European Standardization committee and was adopted as a BRITISH STANDARD in the 90s
And the Scots are unhappy that this number of 24% is after cuts by the tories -- they want it back up to 27%

Past British influence or present? In the past yes, they did great things. Right now, they do quite good things, but it's not the same level as earlier.

"British culture"? Huh? When was the last time you visited the UK if ever? The culture is gone. This is no longer the genteel Edwardian era. British or specifically English culture is gone (Scottish lowland is gone as well, not so much SKye culture or Cymru)
Except for one small detail... the world speaks English and looks to English law for civilization. Maybe your goofy prep school model is over but the bigger picture of British culture and law is your strong point... Nobody from Britain migrates to Bangla Desh. They come to London... And... as for German might... Look past Europe and see that, but for over-priced cars that fall apart rather regularly, they don’t make much of anything that can’t be sourced elsewhere for substantially less money and better quality. In the US, most BMW buyers are WOMEN!!! Think about that for a minute... The Germans design the “Ultimate driving machine” and it appeals primarily to WOMEN!!! The German economic miracle is a myth. PLEASE look outside of Europe and see the truth.
