If people had guns, the terrorist would have been dead after his first shot and many innocent lives would have been saved.
Question. While I understand the laws differ from place to place...generally speaking, is a police officer allowed to carry a weapon into a bar while he’s off duty and might have a drink? (How about Homeland Security? The IRS agent?)
Is the NRA drinking to make this idiotic statement? You can be armed and have a beer.....possibly two.
The NRA has been behind every single major gun control legislation for over 100 years. Heck, they even coined the phrase “sporting purposes of firearms”, the Brady Bunch didn’t do that.
While I understand the logic of the right people and security staff being armed, I wouldn’t support clubgoers being armed in establishments prone to gang activity, especially nightclubs. That’s a powder keg waiting to go off.
Train ONE person in every ‘gun free zone’... a bartender - a bar manager...
It doesn’t have to be everyone and it doesn’t have to be people who are drinking. But it has to be ‘enough’ that a killer doesn’t feel safe going in for a slaughter.
Same with schools, colleges etc. - - a couple of people should be armed and trained.
I side with Trump on this one. I understand why the NRA takes their position but there are bars I wouldn’t go into unarmed.
