The brutal numbers behind a very bad month for Donald Trump
washingtonpost.com ^ | June 19, 2016 | Philip Bump

Supporters of Donald Trump got an unexpected plea on Saturday: a request to send the billionaire money.

It was an "emergency" request, the Hill reported, representing an urgent need for an infusion of $100,000 to put ads on the air in battleground states. Why Trump couldn't simply write a check to cover the costs apparently wasn't explained, but the missive was useful regardless: It demonstrates clearly the difficult position of the Trump campaign with only 142 days to go.

Yeah only thing about the argument about Reagan being down 20 points is that I read the same thing when Mitt Romney was running in 2012 and was down in the polls, people reminded us all about Reagan being down..I hope Trump can come back and win I really do, it all depends on who he picks for VP I think that will be the game changer, that and the debates of course, he cant allow the moderator who will give the questions to Clinton beforehand, to decide the election

>>Why DID we do that? I woke up the night after Orlando scratching my head about my behavior.

I’m blaming the Trump Orbital Mind Control Laser. It used to be the CIA Orbital Mind Control Laser, but Trump got a good deal on it when Facebook took over global mind control duties.

I doubt Eisenhower took advice from Berlin Sally, or MacArthur from Tokyo Rose. The Washington Post will spew (and skew) as much as possible to help Hillary and demoralize Trump’s supporters. Don’t fall for it.

This is the type of attempt at mind control these like to push on the simple minded.

Put out that Trump has had a bad month, cant win, is this or that, so therefore he is unelectable.

Romney is the master of it since his religion institution has been doing that for years-you dont do eactly what you are told and you will be condemned for eternity.

Romney, is trying that within his supposed party he claims to support. He and the Compost are masters of this.

I’ve been searching for stories about crowds of enthusiastic Hillary supporters at her rallies. Are there any?

From what has gone on the last 6 months, the only way I see Trump losing is a fraudulent election....

He lost the momentum and the offense. he is still plagued by anti-Trump Republicans. and the left has started their billion dollar negative ad blitz against him and he hasn’t thrown a counter punch from what I have seen.

When all is said and done, Donald holds the Trump card.
If he doesn’t learn to stay on message and stop being his own worst enemy, nothing will improve in the big picture.
Whether or not Donald really, really wants this job or not, I cannot say I know that. To have no state by state ground game at this stage? His actions indicate some ambiguity at best, and purposeful sabotage at worst (motivations unstated). This is how it looks to me. I hope to be proven wrong.

By this time in 1980 Reagan was actually leading in the polls. By October, Gallup had him down by about 8 points while other polls were much tighter.
