A coalition of Republican delegates is mounting a last-ditch effort to block Donald Trump from obtaining the GOP nomination by pushing for a "conscience clause" that would allow delegates to vote against the presumptive nominee.
Kendal Unruh, a Colorado delegate, organized a call with dozens of other delegates Thursday night to discuss ways to block Trump at the convention. The group, Unruh says, marks the coalescing of disparate "pockets of resistance" -- including backers of Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Marco Rubio and Ohio Gov. John Kasich -- which had been opposing Trump with little success.

Just heard Bruce Ash say any AZ delegate who refuses to vote for Trump on the first ballot will be relegated to the bleachers and an alrenate will vote in his/her place.

CNN has picked up the same story as The Hill. The Hill detailed some plan by 30 delegates. Folks, there is something like 3000 delegates.
Would the media pay attention to 1% of any other Republican group?
The motivation is clear: depress Trump supporters and make him seem less popular than he really is.

I’m afraid Hillary is going to win. She won’t be indicted. People either hate Trump for false reasons or they are being taught that Trump is the antiChrist and they will soon hate him. The world is upside down. I’m losing faith when I read media / twitter. There are too many people who think Trump is far worse than Hillary.

In 2008 the GOP Elite were ok with McCain getting the majority of the primaries even though the GOP conservatives had to hold their nose come November 2008.
In 2012 the GOP Elite were ok with Romney getting the majority of the primaries even though the GOP conservatives had to hold their nose come November 2012.
Now it is 2016 and Trump has won the majority of the primaries but the GOP Elite is not ok with the result.
It seems we not only have to elect Trump, but we also need to replace the GOP Elite.
It is a big job, but it can be done.

Trump won - and while I may not agree with every position he has I agree with enough.
People actually tend to type phonetically and "oo" equals a long "o" to most people and the auto spell check validates the misspelled word. There are a lot of stupidly spelled words in the English language.
At the beginning of the computer age there was an attempt to introduce a phonetic alphabet but it got little attention even though like the metric system it made perfect sense but was avoided like the plague. As I have gotten older I have learned additional ways to spell common words because I see them so commonly misspelled that they begin to look normal.
