Gun sales surge among gays, lesbians after Orlando shooting

DENVER -- Gun sales are surging in the wake of Sunday’s deadly mass shooting in Orlando, Fla. The tragedy is generating new debate over gun control reform and the right to bear arms.

Gun shops typically see a spike in customers after mass shootings. But this time, many are seeing shoppers they’ve never really seen before: More gays and lesbians.

George Horne, the owner of The Gun Room, Denver’s oldest firearms dealer, said Tuesday business is booming at his store.

"For this time of year I’d say its three to four times what we normally have," he said.

Background checks that once took minutes can now take hours. It's a sales surge similar to what happened after Sandy Hook and the Aurora theater shootings.

That is a major effect of the - sorry for the word - "optics" of this thing. The frantic rush to turn this into a gun control issue and to issue dire warnings against any action against Muslims has acted as a slap in the face against the victims. Not all the media are buying into the campaign, incidentally. When the President of the United States' first and loudest concern was to protect Islam, the mask came off. It's going to be very difficult to put it back on, and so far the libs aren't even trying.

It's a bit of a shock to the Hispanic community as well, who are already suspicious of the administration having more important concerns than theirs. Illegal immigration is the concern of a few activists; not getting shot in an Islamic terrorist incident (which words 0bama could not even get out of his mouth) is everyone's concern.

It's hurting the Hillary Is A Hawk meme as well. She won't change, either, she's already knee-deep in Saudi money and knows her role. Identity politics just took a long overdue hit.
