Would God Vote For Trump?
Breitbart.com ^ | June 14, 2016 | Phiip Jennings

I am a Christian, albeit admittedly not a great Christian. I don’t always do what the Good Book says I should. However, despite my occasional lapses, I try not to be a hypocrite. And I fear that some Republicans and conservatives are drifting toward the sort of gross hypocrisy that is usually associated with the liberal left. That is, they are rejecting the chosen (so far) Republican presidential nominee based on presumed moral superiority (theirs) and alleged lack of historic character (his).

Why would God vote for anybody? Question should be the other way around.

“”albeit admittedly not a great Christian””

That is obvious from the get-go.

Joshua 5:13-15

Any Christian should know this passage — because it applies to all of us.

We want God to fight our battles, but it’s not a question of who’s side he’s on - it’s a question of whose side WE are on.

God uses all sorts of people to punish and save his people...any reading of the bible shows this...

All verses taken from the DTV:

Rom 9:13 As it is written, Donald Trump have I loved, but Ted Cruz and Hillary Clinton have I hated.
Rom 9:14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.
Rom 9:15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
Rom 9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

If you believe in God's sovereignty, then God "voted" for George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Reagan and Barry Sotero. If Trump wins, then it is because God is going to show mercy on us. If Clinon wins, then it is because God intends to judge us.

Pray for mercy.

>>>>It will take a certain type of leader to battle this enemy, one who will not submit to the straight-jacket of political correctness or an overweening desire to be loved by all – or else. We need a leader who says, don’t even think about immigrating to our country unless you will submit to our laws, customs, and morals. Mr. Trump would make that case; Mrs. Clinton would apologize for it.<<<<

touching article.....

God allowed Hitler, Stalin and Mao. I don’t presume to understand why. If we get the leadership we deserve, we’re toast...

Well Obama was reelected by a majority of Americans.

This is not your Father's America.

This is why we must pray for mercy.

Perfect will versus permissive will.

Also God respects and loves people emough to let them make their own choices, and use whatever power they have the way they want, to a certain degree. Free will.

If God were to stop everyone all the time doing anything bad, we would be constantly be being stopped throughout the day. No one could stand to live in a sinful world with a sin nature constantly interrupted and corrected. Plus a lot less useful things would get done with constant divine interventions on 7+ billion people.

We would say what about that guy? And others would from their relative viewpoint point at you and what you are doing they dont like, and ask God to stop you.

Who would be able to see God as love and forgiving if God acted like this to us when He knows our sin nature at present makes it impossible for us to be perfectly good?

The fact God does not smite all of us is proof of a patient loving God.
