Why Ryan did what he did; was he right?
Washington Post via QCOnline ^ | 6/14/16 | Charles Krauthammer

...First, dare to say that the people aren't always right. Surely Republicans admit the possibility. Or do they believe the people chose rightly in electing Obama? Twice. Historical examples of other countries choosing even more wrongly are numerous and tragic. The people's will deserves respect, not necessarily affirmation..."

Well, not really any kind of surprise, but I guess that Challs has tipped his hand and is showing just how in the GOPe bag he really is.

Numerous examples of choices even worse than Obama? Numerous? Really? I can only think of one possibility, and I'm not yet certain even on that one. I pray that one will hold for these final seven months and six days.

Okay:

Ryan is Our Savior And One True King.

Krauthammer is The Oracle.

The Republican Voters Are Idiots And Must Pay For Nominating Trump.

My Response:

GFY Charles.

Krauthammer all but endorsed Hillary on O’Reilly’s show last night.

I used to shake my head in amusement whenever I heard the term Neocon. Now I see. Apologies to all I mentally once scorned.

Per the article:
“So whom do the Republicans put up? They had 17 candidates. Any of a dozen could have taken down the near-fatally weak Clinton, unloved, untrusted, living under the shadow of an FBI investigation.”

If any of a dozen Republican primary candidates could have beaten Clinton, why did Sanders not prevail as the Democratic primary winner?
Such nonsense this man spews, ONLY Trump, a human battering ram has the inner fortitude to emerge victorious against Clinton in November.

Yes we keep being told how tough Hillary will be on terrorism and that Bill Clinton had a great foreign policy.

I was somewhat confused as to the “neocon” definition. This election has made it very clear. Neocons are supportive of American involvement of wars which maybe by a thread benefit the American public but benefit elite corporate interests greatly.

This election has made it clear to me that I am closer to being a populist as opposed to a neocon.

The sooner Ryan, Krauthammer et al declare for Hillary, the better. Let the masks continue to fall.

"I sympathize with the dilemma of Republican leaders reluctant to affirm. Many are as appalled as I am by Trump, but they don't have the freedom I do to say, as I have publicly, that I cannot imagine ever voting for him."

Really,Charles? Are you going to vote for Hillary?

Then,begone with you.

Samuel Adams talked about people just like you:

“If you love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”

The muslim faith says that it is alright for old men to have 8 year old lovers/wife's/concubines of both sexes, it also claims that it is alright for men to have sex with sheep, goats and other animals.  .

Could that be the reason so many male and female members of congress including speaker ryan and Chellie Pingree love the muslim faith?

I can think of no other reason, if you can, please enlighten me.

Muslims have traded in white slaves for 400 plus years, could that be the reason both male and female members of congress are protecting muslims?

Charles is so embedded in the rut that is DC/PC that anyone outside of that GroupThink sounds to him like an alien life form.

I so look forward to the day when we can flush the entire cabal that is the DC press corps. Or as Obama would say: "corpse".

I didn't consider Krauthammer a neocon when the term began being used. Kondracke was more the poster boy, imo.

After they started pushing Bush43's attempted amnesty, I had no use for any of them.

As for Krauthammer supporting HRC, Soros must be paying him big bucks.

The ‘argument’ Krauthammer is foisting here is both fallacious and disingenuous. It is insulting to Trump supporters, if he really believes they would be stupid enough to buy it.

He is attempting to discredit ‘the people’ who nominated Trump by pointing out that when ‘the people’ elected Obama twice they were wrong. He is saying Trump’s popularity is not a measure of his worth, because Obama was also popular.

Every time the GOPe attempts to brand Trump as a ‘populist’, they are attempting the same condescending manipulation that Krauthammer is attempting here.

But nobody is claiming ‘the people’ are always right.

Obviously, the “the people” who wrongly elected Obama twice, are not the same ‘the people’ who rightly nominated Donald Trump. There is no inconsistency here. Some people are right and some people are wrong.

For a supposedly smart guy Krauthammer sure can sound like an idiot. As clever as he thinks he is, his condescension and contempt for Trump supporters is not lost on anyone - he’s just digging himself a deeper hole.

Dr. K - electing BO'B was not our only mistake. The other was giving you the opportunity to es pond so much hot air you were given the ability to float. You then proceeded to hang over us, lording your ability to spout downwards, degrading us to the level on which you wished to see us. Here's a pin; use it.

GO! TRiUMPh

Make AMERICA great for all GREAT AMERICANS!

I disagree with what Charles Krauthammer wrote until this Big Barf -

>>> In the end, Ryan called an armistice. What was he to do? Oppose and resign? And then what? What would remain of conservative leadership in the GOP? And if he created a permanent split in the party, he'd be setting up the GOP's entire conservative wing as scapegoat if Trump loses in November. (emphasis mine) <<<

Charles, your 'conservative fig leaf' isn't fooling anybody. Ryan (and indeed Bonehead) had been fighting the newly elected conservatives since 2009. Don't you dare even calling / thinking these guys (and yourself) anything remotely conservative.

“Krauthammer all but endorsed Hillary on O’Reilly’s show last night.”

Well in 1984 Krauthammer was writing speeches for Mondale in the attempt to keep Reagan from winning a second term.

The bigger question is why this neocon fraud was ever passed off as a “conservative”. The same goes for Medved and a few others.

Great post, Kraut hates Trump so much that last night on O’Reilly he was frothing at the mouth while explaining why Hillary! had the best foreign policy experience and ideas over Trump.

He continues to embarrass himself.

He needs to be retired.

I walked through the lobby of Willard Hotel this morning after parking in the hotel garage on my way to a press conference at the National Press Club, and Barney Frank was sitting alone in the lobby reading the Washington Post.
