Well, not really any kind of surprise, but I guess that Challs has tipped his hand and is showing just how in the GOPe bag he really is.

Or do they believe the people chose rightly in electing Obama? Twice. Historical examples of other countries choosing even more wrongly are numerous and tragic.

Numerous examples of choices even worse than Obama? Numerous? Really? I can only think of one possibility, and I'm not yet certain even on that one. I pray that one will hold for these final seven months and six days.

Okay:

Ryan is Our Savior And One True King.

Krauthammer is The Oracle.

The Republican Voters Are Idiots And Must Pay For Nominating Trump.

My Response:

GFY Charles.

Per the article:
“So whom do the Republicans put up? They had 17 candidates. Any of a dozen could have taken down the near-fatally weak Clinton, unloved, untrusted, living under the shadow of an FBI investigation.”

If any of a dozen Republican primary candidates could have beaten Clinton, why did Sanders not prevail as the Democratic primary winner?
Such nonsense this man spews, ONLY Trump, a human battering ram has the inner fortitude to emerge victorious against Clinton in November.

The sooner Ryan, Krauthammer et al declare for Hillary, the better. Let the masks continue to fall.

"I sympathize with the dilemma of Republican leaders reluctant to affirm. Many are as appalled as I am by Trump, but they don't have the freedom I do to say, as I have publicly, that I cannot imagine ever voting for him."

Really,Charles? Are you going to vote for Hillary?

Then,begone with you.

Samuel Adams talked about people just like you:

“If you love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”

Charles is so embedded in the rut that is DC/PC that anyone outside of that GroupThink sounds to him like an alien life form.

I so look forward to the day when we can flush the entire cabal that is the DC press corps. Or as Obama would say: "corpse".

The ‘argument’ Krauthammer is foisting here is both fallacious and disingenuous. It is insulting to Trump supporters, if he really believes they would be stupid enough to buy it.

He is attempting to discredit ‘the people’ who nominated Trump by pointing out that when ‘the people’ elected Obama twice they were wrong. He is saying Trump’s popularity is not a measure of his worth, because Obama was also popular.

Every time the GOPe attempts to brand Trump as a ‘populist’, they are attempting the same condescending manipulation that Krauthammer is attempting here.

But nobody is claiming ‘the people’ are always right.

Obviously, the “the people” who wrongly elected Obama twice, are not the same ‘the people’ who rightly nominated Donald Trump. There is no inconsistency here. Some people are right and some people are wrong.

For a supposedly smart guy Krauthammer sure can sound like an idiot. As clever as he thinks he is, his condescension and contempt for Trump supporters is not lost on anyone - he’s just digging himself a deeper hole.

Dr. K - electing BO'B was not our only mistake. The other was giving you the opportunity to es pond so much hot air you were given the ability to float. You then proceeded to hang over us, lording your ability to spout downwards, degrading us to the level on which you wished to see us. Here's a pin; use it.

GO! TRiUMPh

I disagree with what Charles Krauthammer wrote until this Big Barf -

>>> In the end, Ryan called an armistice. What was he to do? Oppose and resign? And then what? What would remain of conservative leadership in the GOP? And if he created a permanent split in the party, he'd be setting up the GOP's entire conservative wing as scapegoat if Trump loses in November. (emphasis mine) <<<

Charles, your 'conservative fig leaf' isn't fooling anybody. Ryan (and indeed Bonehead) had been fighting the newly elected conservatives since 2009. Don't you dare even calling / thinking these guys (and yourself) anything remotely conservative.

One day, we shall all have to account for what we did and what we said in this scoundrel year. For now, we each have our conscience to attend to.
_______________________________________
That accounting will most assuredly take place. When that day arrives, you and all your fellow PC elitists will be the brunt of well deserved scorn and ridicule. Your holy than thou conscience has rendered you irrelevant in the real world we find ourselves in today.

dare to say that the people aren't always right. Surely Republicans admit the possibility. Or do they believe the people chose rightly in electing Obama? Twice.

Kraut making an inapt comparison. Claiming the American people might pick a bad president (Clinton, Obama) is different than saying that the Republican party must accept the will of its voters. The Republican party is intended to be a reflection of its voters, not the denier of their will. If you don't agree with their choice, you are not a Republican.

Ryan (Little Eddie Munster) is the “poster boy” for the “go along to get along” crowd. If you don't, you are a “bomb thrower, don't row the boat with the rest us, not a team player, a troublemaker”, and a whole host of other colorful phrases and words to indicate that you are: 1. A free thinker. 2. Not a “butt kisser. 3. Not a go along to get along guy. 4. A real manager and free thinker. 5. A dangerous thinker that can actually destroy a nest of self-serving political criminals who have destroyed a country and endangered its future!

Many years ago I was in a managerial position in U.S. Civil Service for the Air Force and then the Marine Corps. While there I endured all of these wonderful statements but that did not prevent me from doing the job I was hired to do. I finally had enough of unprofessionalsm in all aspects of government management, productivity and downright knowledge to do the jobs they were hired to do...and quit and formed my own private business that I have to this day.

Even though I made upper and lower management hate me since I held them to the directives and regulations along with the requirements of their jobs, they gave me a huge going away dinner with lots of people and a beautiful plaque given by the Marine Corps which still hangs in my office.

Trump has the same traits as I've described above. Yes...he is a “bomb thrower” and all else mentioned and for once, he will use the talents to “whip” all under him to do what they are hired to do and to OBEY the laws written by our forefathers and of an earlier generation.

Thank you Donald Trump from taking the flack from the Republican leeches and “turncoats” to lead our country back to greatness in both economy and morality!

Krauthammer seems incapable of writing a fair piece that deals with Donald Trump. He either is totally isolated from the real world--his comments on ethnicity effecting biases is beyond naive;--or he simply lacks the most basic elements of intellectual honesty.

Let this brief note be my expression of contempt for a charlatan. He is not worthy of more serious analysis--although I reserve the right to respond to anyone who wants to defend the clod.
