Hillary Clinton made history last week when she became the first woman to represent a major political party as the presumptive Democratic nominee. Her good week got even better when President Obama and Sen. Elizabeth Warren formally endorsed her.
Donald Trump, on the other hand, received quite a bit of negative attention from inside his own party, including a few Republicans walking away from their previous endorsements of him. Influence of the events of the past week is evident in the most recent NBC News|SurveyMonkey Weekly Election Tracking Poll, which shows Clinton leading Trump by 7 points, 49 percent to 42 percent. The poll was conducted online June 6 through June 12 among 9,355 adults who say they are registered to vote.

Given the beating he has taken in the press I thought it would be worse. And this poll doesn’t reflect the reaction to the Orlando shooting.

Good. We need to fight as if Trump is behind all the way to the close of the last poll on election night. Given the fat drunk harridan’s built in dead-person votes, there’s no room for slacking on our side.
It needs to be noted that this poll was taken prior to the terrorist attack in Orlando.

LOL I had the same reaction when I had to post the author.
I will, however, believe that there are quite a few white RINO quisling politicians who are so fearful they'll lose their influence in government and the political process under Trump that they would endorse the Devil to keep that power, even if it is second-tier.
Disregard as you wish, but Trump is faltering badly. He had a golden opportunity to build on his base while Clinton was still fending off Bernie but squandered it whining about Mexican judges.
Looks like the GOP is kicking away another eminently winnable election.
Trump still has a chance due to Hillary’s abundant weaknesses but he needs to get focused quickly or he is going to lose badly.
And the Post move is that of a petulant child.
With almost 5 months to go, and Trump has actually just started hammering Clinton as of yesterday. He said that next week he’ll give his speech where he lays out all the crimes and scandals of the Clinton’s.
