Conventional wisdom re: picking a running mate to deliver a state seldom works (see: Ryan, 2012).
But he is a long-time Senator who will get some deference from colleagues, he’s a good spare in case something happens to Trump, he’s conservative enough to discourage the GOPe trying to do Trump in, and he’d help to shore up the conservative base in not seeing Trump as having gone all sell-out for moderate votes by the time November roles around.

FOX reporting that this guy was a security officer/guard and had a Class “G” Statewide Firearm license (Florida). This gave him the ability to carry a weapon in areas where a regular permit would not allow. Obviously, he was thus familiar with weapons.

Watching the coverage from CNN and while they and their former government employee guest tiptoe around talking about Islam and terrorist and lone-wolf, FOX has a former government employee guest who is putting it bluntly.
You are coming to the same conclusion that kabar and I are that the drivebys will spin this all has a hate crime and try and forget all about the terrorism angle which is really what it is all about.this will become all about right leaning haters and islamic terrorism will be all but forgotten.
