Hillary sinks to third place among independent voters: poll

It looks like Hillary Clinton can’t swing the crucial swing vote.

The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee took a beating from independent voters in the latest Fox News poll, finishing third behind relatively unknown Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson.

GOP candidate Donald Trump led among independents with 32 percent of the vote, followed by Johnson, a former governor of New Mexico, who got 23 percent.

Clinton pulled in just 22 percent of the independents — a sign many voters are skeptical of the scandal-scarred former first lady and ex-secretary of state.

“This is very bad news for Hillary Clinton,” Republican strategist Susan Del Percio said. “She needs independents to win in November.”

The poll, released Friday, gave Clinton a 3-point national lead overall. She bested Trump 42 percent to 39 percent in a theoretical matchup. But Clinton’s lead is within the Fox poll’s margin of error.

Idiotic that people would pick 3rd party candidate that likely 99% of Americans have not heard of. Trump is natural winner, Clinton has her core supporters.

Independents refuse to be a member of a party because of the manipulation and sleaze that goes on.

This year's attempt to fix the election, by the Democrats, won't pass the smell test.

I'm an independent and know the thought process.

Donovan - Season of the Witch. Appropriate theme song for Hillary, but it wasn’t exactly uproarious.

Some people truly do not like either candidate. Voting for Constitution Party, Libertarians and Greens is one way to voice that displeasure. In some cases, it might be a matter of genuine conscience. If Trump said he was presently mostly pro-abort I would not be ABLE to vote for him. I don't regret voting write-in in 2012, as I knew what Romney was and is still about.

I will vote Trump this time, and hope he wins big.

Unlike the last two sad sack candidates, Trump actually wants to win, and will actually campaign like it.

don’t forget, though, she overwhelms in the dead, pets, felons, and double-dip voters. By a margin of 66 to 1.

Johnson isn't going to win 23%. He received 0.99% last time and my guess is maybe 3% this time. Of the remaining 20%, 2/3 will vote for Trump and 1/3 for Hillary, another third party candidate / independent candidate or stay home.

39 + 13 = 52%.

Hillary is in deep doo-doo.

All the gibmedats will still vote for her and they are growing like a major disease in this country.

Most will vote for the bitch, but no where near the turnout numbers that obama got. Remember, to turn out large numbers of lowlifes, you need the union MEMBERS to go and identify and pick up the vultures, pay them, drive them to the polls, and get them to their favorite bar or crack house.

The union members are not all that into the bitch, and will not work as hard as they did for the halfrican, mooselimb, communist prick.
