Jury convicts (Chinese-American) woman accused of S. Fla. plot to sell $50M drone to China

A South Florida jury convicted a California woman on Thursday of conspiring to send a $50 million missile-firing drone and jet fighter engines to China via Broward County.

Wenxia Man, aka Wency, 45, of San Diego, was found guilty of conspiring to export military weapons, equipment and technical data to the People's Republic of China.

Man, who had been free on $250,000 bond since last year, was taken into federal custody for alleged misconduct during her trial in federal court in Miami.

Authorities accused her of improperly sending text messages, in Chinese, to the federal agent who worked undercover on her case during a break in his testimony in her trial. The agent, from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement/Homeland Security Investigations, reported the improper contact and U.S. District Judge Beth Bloom order Man taken into custody, according to court records.

Prosecutor Michael Walleisa told jurors that Man conspired with a man who is based in China and works for the military, to illegally acquire and export military defense equipment, including a $50 million drone and several jet fighter engines to the government of China. Man called her contact a "technology spy" who was interested in stealth technology.

She became a naturalized citizen in 2006. When I read about a headline about this case (which of course did not mention her ethnicity) I thought to myself, "bet she's Chinese". I was right.

The FRee traitor globalists and their clintonista comrades are most saddened by this setback.

Have no worry now, the imperialist Americans still have plenty of industries to loot, and plenty of political crony sympathizers to exploit.

Giving her the death penalty would cause quite a surprise and open some eyes.

Methinks we owe the Rosenburgs an apology for executing them, if we allow this twit to live.

She has become a naturalized citizen, and raised her hand, and took the oath.

Kill her!

Between the Clintons and Obama, I’m surprised that there’s any Western tech that the Chinese don’t already have.

One of the weakest core elements of Chinese defense infrastructure is their ability to domestically produce high performance jet engines that will run for more than 12-15hours before blowing up or otherwise failing.

It's been an essential problem for them for 40 years. It's not design, but manufacturing technology, QA rigor and precision that defeats them.

Nevertheless, American engines differ significantly from the Russian designs they have been trying to copy and they may be able to get enough performance and durability from specialty American designs to make a decent engine, even with their shoddy methods.

This woman should be hanged. And, the officials at State and INS who investigated her should lose their jobs for missing her connection to Chinese Military Intelligence.

How the Heck can you have a 50 million dollar drone? Good Lord. I bet a rubber band powered sleek streak (that cost $0.27 when I was a boy) would be a cool million, easy.

A bit of a side rant, but that’s my mood o’ the moment...

I have a real issue with hyphenated Americans. A person is either American or they’re not. There’s no damned such thing as a “chinese-American. They’re either chinese or American. Same for every other hyphenated American.

If someone’s so unsatisfied with being American that they’ve got to hyphenate themselves, then give up American and go be what the **** ever else.

Am I missing something? How would she ever be able to procure a 50M drone? It’s not as though Boeing or whomever the manufacturer is would not miss one or take issue with selling one to a civilian.

Sounds like a sale to a civilian police agency that then got “misdirected”

Espionage is generally punished by life in prison, or by death.
