Yes, there are great similarities between the Haaar-vard educated Cruz and Obama.  It's that recognizable air of arrogance and superiority.

But do you remember the CBS debate when John Dickerson took down the don't-question-my-indisputable-facts debater in epic fashion?  Cruz was left speechless for a long glorious moment.
