Officials from Ted Cruz's defunct presidential campaign are talking up the possibility of a coup at next month's Republican convention in Cleveland.
Bob Vander Plaats, a former national co-chair of Ted Cruz's presidential campaign, told NBC that "everything's got to be on the table" when it comes to exempting delegates from supporting Donald Trump at the convention....
Whether the anger and chatter about a coup among Cruz's ardent supporters materializes at the convention remains to be seen, but it appears to have gained steam following the fallout of Trump's racial invective directed at the presiding federal judge in a lawsuit regarding Trump University.
Trump's comments appeared to cause Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who previously endorsed Cruz, to rethink his support for Trump. And Illinois Sen. Mark Kirk ditched the Trump train as well. It's unclear whether delegates to the convention will follow suit, but there appears to be a growing chorus of Cruz supporters hoping for a revolt.

1,542! Aint gonna happen!
Go Trump Go!
It’s not going to happen. Even former Cruz supporters at the GA state convention are committed to sticking with Trump. They main bellyachers are the Bill Kristol/die-hard Romney types.
So, folks, I tune into Fox today and it’s one guest after another harping on Trump’s “racism” or how “unpopular” he is.
NOT ONE asked the key question, if he’s so darned unpopular, why is he winning? Why is he essentially tied with Cankles in almost every poll and leading in OH, FL, and PA??
So here is my prediction. The neverTrumpers (and please, don’t EVER use the hashtag and give them any acknowledgment in any way) will continue their fantasy until they are routed at the convention. Trump, I think, is scaling back his public activities as he readies for the next big push, and I know from personal contact that they are (correctly) already looking a models of transition to the White House.
I think you’ll see a plateau of Trump (”peaking”) for a few weeks until, as Secretariat, he enters the next turn and begins to hit the afterburners. At that time, you should see him get the lead by 2-3 points in most national and battleground polls. Hillary will make another post-convention fall push, maybe tie it up.
Then I think you’ll see the Closer. Trump will in by 2-3 points nationally, and a sizeable margin in the Electoral College.
Manafort IS a PIT BULL, believe me HE has his eye on the ball I feel so much better with him on the team!!! Manafort has backed some pretty shady people overseas he has experience with the worst of the worst this man has eyes and ears in the back of his head!!!
Cruz folks still trying to act as despots and thwart the will of the People - some “constitutionalists”....
Iowa's wannabee co-kingmaker speaks!
The worst traitor that Trump exposed was Ted Cruz. Globalist and lying, manipulating fool. He won’t be able to win much as he is damaged goods.
If I don’t win the game, I’m taking the ball and bat and going home.

Well I think Cruz was a good candidate but he didn’t win. This carrying on is tarnishing his brand [worse than it is already]
If cruz successfully does this, he will lose 50 states.
Harvard and Yale, doing for America what Oxford and Cambridge did for England. (How's that Empire now?) See original meaning "Town and Gown"
“If you can’t win it, steal it,” say some deeply immoral elitists who believe they are ordained by God to dictate over the commoners, no matter whether it’s against their will or not.
Yeah, these guys are just going to sit down and shut up till called upon.
Cruz was not a good candidate. He was way too in love with the sound of his own voice. Don’t believe me? Check out his introduction of his VP candidate. It was about five hours long, or at least felt that way.
Too religious, too long winded, too erudite.
