Carville: 'There’s some chance’ Trump isn’t nominee
The Hill ^ | June 8, 2016 | Mark Hensch

James Carville on Tuesday said the GOP could still avoid making Donald Trump their presidential nominee after multiple controversies.

“I honestly believe this — there’s some chance Trump is not going to be the nominee,” the pundit said on MSNBC’s “Hardball.”

Carville said Republicans are rushing away from Trump after the billionaire criticized a judge’s Hispanic heritage.

“What we’re seeing here is a real unraveling,” he said. "I think this is going at a lot faster speed than we can imagine. I just think that when these things in politics start to happen, they just don’t st

There is a chance Trump won’t be the nominee. Trump, based on his age, has an 0.8% chance of dying before the convention.

Add in the violent Obama-supporting thugs on the left, and the chances on a non-fatal condition preventing Trump from going on, and the odds are worse.

Other than those options, Trump pretty much has to be the nominee.

Similarly, Hillary will be the nominee. If she’s getting indicted (unlikely - she’s a Clinton), then she will choose a VP (not Bernie) who will carry on while she faces trial. But she’s the pick if she has a pulse.

If you were a Democrat and Trump was such a disaster for the Republicans, why so much angst? Why such a desire to have Trump replaced as the nominee? You would think they would do everything they could to keep Trump as the nominee.

The Democrats are scared ####less.

Like other Trump “outrages,” articles from pundits are starting to back up Trump’s position. Also, more information on this judge are coming out.

Trump will get past this and some of they naysayers will have to eat crow (again). Some are so screwed up, they never will as their ego is too tied up to their position (e.g. Beck, Levin, Kristol).

I can’t wait for Trump’s pounding of Clinton on Monday.

What is great is that he telegraphed the day for early next week, so the weekend news cycle will all be about “What’s Trump going to say? What Clinton scandals will he highlight?” Trump will have the Clinton scandals on the front page for just about two weeks, effectively filling the news cycle between now and the GOP convention.

Trump - crazy like a fox.

Carville said Republicans are rushing away from Trump after the billionaire criticized a judge’s Hispanic heritage.

Except it is coming out now that Trump is/was right. The judge is a member of several groups that share the same stated goals: advancement and favoritism of Hispanics. He (the judge) is in fact biased, not because of his name or heritage, but by the groups he supports and participates in.

I still think the GOP would luv to make Paul Ryan the nominee. And, despite what he says, Paul would luv to accept it.

But that would mean a divorce between the Party and his base. Anyone who has really read about the issue, knows Trump has a point about this judge’s bias. The La Raza connection is a legitimate issue.

But being labeled a “racist” is the one thing that basically strips a person of their rights. So, if Trump is labeled as a racist in a way that seems to stick, then anything is fair game. At least in the pea-brains of the FUBAR GOP leadership.

The chances of Trump not being the nominee are somewhere between zilch-point-sh*t and none.

Yes-caught the first 10 minutes of Hewitt. He was hysterical today, claiming Trump was “spiraling down”. He expected that the delegates would reject Trump because of what he said about the judge. Hewitt and Medved need to be medicated.

Nah, Carville means Trump.

He’s being egged on by Hugh Hewitt and the rest of that Salem Radio cabal, who are doing their best to help the Left beat the Racism drum against Trump.

“...They have to destroy him by any means necessary.”

You are correct. The Uniparty which has benefitted from the corruption of government will fight tooth and nail against Trump.

Conservatives along with Trump must realize we are at war for the survival of our Republic. If by God’s grace Trump wins, it will be a vicious fight during the entirety of Trump’s Administration. The GOPe will never coalesce around Trump unless they and their cronies are obliterated.

“Hugh Hewitt agrees with Carville and is pushing the same crap”
True, but (depending on where you are) have you heard the last segment of his program where Betsy McCaughey just handed him his ass?

“I still think the GOP would luv to make Paul Ryan the nominee. And, despite what he says, Paul would luv to accept it.”

I think the RNC/GOPe cabal are actually going to try it.

Hugh Hewitt is demanding that Ryan and McConnell change the convention rules to make the first two ballots “advisory” and to require a super-majority to win the nomination.

Hewitt is now flogging Trump for using the term “:African-American” last night. This GOPe lawyer scum is doing his best to spread negativity about Trump.
