Hubby was a firefighter for 33 years, retired now. His last station was in one of our smaller towns that is 99% Hispanic. They were the first station in the county to be issued body armor. When he and his crew left the quarters they were armed, unofficially of course.
One day the Bat Chief showed up as they were preparing to leave on a call and just shook his head. lol
By that logic, they should never enter a burning building even to save someone's life.
We’ve got a situation here with our men in blue.
Sorry, SPD! I’m sometimes given to a touch of hyperbole. Let’s keep that a secret. (:^D)
good
Time for a new agency—a new “Sons of Liberty” to protect Trump and his supporters. If the Police and Fire will not do the job—then citizens must step up. If mobs want to fight—Americans should face them down! This is a National disgrace and only shows what Obama and his crowd has done to our once tolerant land. Lets go back to the 1940s! Remember the Zoot Suit Riots?
WHO? The same type of public servant who will discuss a plan while watching a hypothermic, blinded young lady drown. Fortunately for that young lady, a civilian decided to launch himself into a freezing, ice choked river and drag her to safety.
Right, that is why they rush into burning buildings to save children, old people, dogs, cats, HAHAHAHAH
They got a union, so they have to ignore perceived non-lefties.
Good start.
Just let the kid jump in and drive away with him.
They had time to roll up the window means they had time to let the kid in, or tell him to grab a handle and hang on.
Still waiting for your next book. . .
;-)
It’s part of my job description...
All except for (perhaps) Northern California is lost. Too many ferals, SJWs, illegals, and other toxic leftists.
It seems to be your natural calling in life.
Prolly but, a firefighter isn’t obligated to injure himself or worse and they are trained that way.
The crowds were substantial and neither us were there and saw it through their lens.
I’d like to think I would have pulled him into the cab but, that isn’t their training.
Besides, why am I the asshole? I didn’t do anything to that kid or you.

at 4:18 - 4:20 i see the teenager appearing to run towards a couple of guys in dark clothing or possibly black uniforms who are standing in the intersection, about 10 feet in front of the front of the fire truck.
at 4:21 - 4:23 he is walking back to camera left, accompanied by two policepeople in black uniforms.
it seems to me that one possibility is that the firefighters were aware of the presence of police officers who could help the teenager. the teenager might have been initially unaware of the presence of police officers, but eventually found them and safety.
at this moment, we only seem to have third party accounts and one brief and possibly inconclusive video of the incident. so the rashomon effect could be in play.
So, when a million dollar piece of City Equipment is at stake your son or mine just has to die ????
