The 2016 presidential election is unfolding like a Greek tragedy. With a few changes.
A tragic hero, burdened by a fatal flaw, inexorably strides toward destruction; unstoppable, resolute and impervious to those who beg him to change. Thus proceeds the Donald.
I hasten to stipulate that the word hero is hard to apply. We commonly associate the word with bravery, intelligence and vision. With Trump, not so much.
But the past week has shown us a leader, and a leader he is, with a fatal flaw: an inability to adjust his character to reality. His campaign is one of personal insult, ethnic divisiveness and blatant disregard for the norms of political discourse. On the one hand, this is what got him the nomination. On the other hand it cannot possibly broaden his appeal to undecided voters. Those who already support him find it comforting. Those who need persuasion to vote for him will be repelled. It will destroy him.

There will be a clear winner, but it wont be Hillary.
Why do you post this drivel? Its worthless.
And if that does come to pass, see you in the whites squatter camps!
Again."
This week....
“Trumps hit his peak again.”
Yup. It’s over. Time for the GOP to ask Jeb! to come in and save the day!
I jog around town in my “Hillary / Prison 2016” shirt and all I get is positive responses.
Yup.
Brodsky forgets all the real enthusiasm has been on the GOP side.
Tomorrow night, Trump is posed to break the vote record for a GOP nominee on his way to a landslide sweep of the remaining state contests.
And Hillary can barely fend off The Bern in CA.
Sure, its a landslide for Hillary - if you overlook the fact in all the recent polls, 45% looks like her ceiling while Trump on the other hand, has plenty of room for growth.
Hillary is the most drab, unimaginative and boring candidate Democrats have nominated in ages. If she wins, she won’t break 50%.
I want Trump to win. He is our best candidate anong Republicans and Democrats.
Yes he is an outsider. But so was Reagan.
But Reagan did not make the rhetorical mistakes Donald is making and I am worried.
Donald may be correct that Judge Curiel is a prejudiced Judge. But Donald stumbles badly by seemingly blaming it on the Judge’s ethnicity. Many Jurists of Curiel’s ethnicity are not prejudiced, but when they are it is demonstrable by the Judge’s history and rulings.
Donald should govern his tongue and investigate Curiel yet still accuse him of recusable prejudice.
If, Curiel has helped illegal students stay in the country against the law or ruled in a prejudicial manner let the Trump lawyers make the motion for Curiel to recuse himself. Only then should Donald comment and maybe not even then. Perhaps he should let his lawyer say why they made the motion if allowable
He has lost more than he has gained with this one and I am worried.
If no one in his inner circle has chided him on this, he better get some different advisers.
Please do not lose this Donald.
The commenters at the site are under the illusion that since many highly educated support liberalism, and these commenters support the same liberals, they too are unusually bright. The reality, of course, is that the highest concentration of high school dropouts, criminals and non English speakers also support liberal candidates at near unanimous levels. These commenters are nearer to the swine than to the pearls.
That might have been clever and appropriate in the primaries. Unfortunately, the general will not be as forgiving and tolerant to his antics.
Donald pointed out that the judge is a racist because he belongs to a racist organization called "The Race" which is against President Trump building the wall.
Concern trolls like you, and the MSM, are the only ones deliberately misrepresenting it as Donald being against "ethnicity." Donald is pointing out that the judge is a member of an organization that is specifically based on being against Donald's ethnicity! Are you "worried" about that? Because millions of conservatives are, and that's what your are, right? A conservative? LOL, yeah, right.
AND membership in a openly racist organization by a judge is arguable as meriting far more than recusal, especially given the ongoing documented refusal of the judge to rule on the actual merits of the case.
Crawl back to DU with your "worries," shill.
Maybe Trump would do better in November if he slept while four People he could have had rescued were Murdered by a Jihadi Mob.
Lest we forget, Hillary Clinton killed four more People than were killed by the Nuclear Accident at Three Mile Island.
She also killed three more people than the drunken Democrat Adulterer Ted Kennedy did using his Oldsmobile.
Overall she has a great list of achievements.
It will be a landslide. But Hillary won’t be on the winning side

LOL!!!
Post of the day!
Trump did not say that is why he thinks Judge prejudiced. Had he said it was because he belongs to La Raza itself, I would not be concerned and in fact hope Donald would double down.
P.S. Sorry for thumb mistakes previous post.
For the first time, so am I.
It was a boneheaded mistake. He should be attacking prejudice associated with his rulings and linking that to La Raza, not claiming prejudice based on his ethnicity alone.
This judge thing is old murk in new guise - why are folks buying into this crap? Nobody cares about the negative comments by Trump against this judge. Nobody gives any attention to what Newt or any talking-head says or thinks about Trump.
Folks here seem to be buying into the the fake polls as symptomatic of what Trump is saying about the judge... hell, folks know it's true what Trump says. Look, after the California primary all this crap will be old news.
What we really should be asking is why are there posts here joining the democrat and the GOPe memes? Why, for the millionth time, are we confronted with the 'this comment will kill Trump' garbage? Why are folks completely ignoring the thuggery against Trump supporters and commenting on this crap instead!
