I’ve fired my dad’s 1911A1 Springfield. Even with a two handed grip it’s heavy and hard for me anyway to hold it on target. But then, according to a California Highway Patrol study, all their gun fights have been around twelve feet. I can’t see trying to shoot at a target fifty yards away with a handgun.
