ATLANTA (CBS46) - President Barack Obama has recently announced that June is African-American Music Appreciation Month.

In a statement released through the White House he says, "A vital part of our Nation's proud heritage, African-American music exemplifies the creative spirit at the heart of American identity and is among the most innovative and powerful art the world has ever known. "

Is it that or is it LGBT appreciation month? I am sure the blacks will love sharing a month representing their contributions to music with people who are confused about what sex they are.

You mean that Jaunary (MLK Day) and the whole month of February (Black History Month) isn’t enough? WE now have Black Music Month? The black community needs more than this—Jobs, police crack downs, Respect for Black Churches, Reform welfare. Counter Black racist hate for whitie? How about this—if a black woman aint married she loses half her welfare benifits? Encourage black husbands to stay home rather than for them out.
