Secretary Clinton slams Trump for not appreciating, or even comprehending, the accepted conventional wisdom of both political parties. In so doing, she misses the point.
Trump hasnt accepted the conventional wisdom because it hasnt succeeded, at least not for the last decade or so.
Trump is forcing us to rethink our failed policies of the past, by relying on good, old-fashioned common sense.
You know who else did that? Reagan. In 1980 he challenged and beat the GOP establishment candidate George H.W. Bush in the primaries and went on to beat the incumbent Democrat President Jimmy Carter in the general election.
Reagan revisited the decades old policy of coexistence with the USSR and decided we should win the Cold War instead. We did within a decade, without firing a shot, by using our economic superiority.
Reagan rejected the mutually assured destruction (MAD) strategy of mutual suicide in favor of a Star Wars missile defense system that could protect us from nuclear attack.
So Hillary does have a point. Trump isnt a conventional candidate. He doesnt fall into line with conventional wisdom. Hes rethinking the issues. What will he come up with to replace the tired old theories of the past? Maybe nothing. Maybe everything.

Chalk up one more thing she is totally clueless on.
Hillary was preaching to the establishment choir.
She doesn’t get it. The game has changed.
Because if he lets the MSM do it, he's not going to be happy with the result.
I had CNN on the car radio yesterday and they were gushing so much about how she had made in their opinion the absolute best speech ever, that this was the turning point of the campaign, and it was over for Trump. We’ve heard that before, haven’t we?
They WANT it to be a turning point in her failing campaign....heck. she may not even win California.
Meanwhile, she is trying to ignore the Bernie thugs, and the “Drip, Drip, Drip” of Server-Gate. Given the brown supremacists attacking Trump supporters, I wonder if the Rats want Trump to win?
He already has, in his San Jose rally. about 15 minutes into his speech, and again later on even more forcefully.
If she's not quaking in her boots it's only because she's so clueless.
She had to play the Daisy Ad card in June.
Smacks of total desperation.
Thanks I will listen.
Hillary is playing a Colonel Sanders offense, one single left wing and two small breasts. Trump is using the Colonel Nathan R Jessup tactics and she and the media can’t handle the truth.
If Clinton loses next week, I think it is effectively the end of her campaign. She won’t drop out directly but she’ll be gone before the convention. While she might want to continue and see herself through to the election, I think the Democratic party will see their looming defeat and survival will require action. Besides, ignore Bernie they might, but at the end of the day, he has public support that Clinton does not.
Not only clueless about Trump but also clueless about the the American people.
Trump is for America First.
Its clear where Hillary sees America’s place in the world.
She missed the chance to define it and ended up pleasing no one.
I do not think Americans see her ready for the Big Time.
Reagan did not reject MAD! He rebuilt our military so that there was no doubt MAD was a given....but he also planned for the future of being able to protect ourselves from the other side if MAD was triggered with the Star Wars missile defense system, which Dems fought non stop!
I do not know how you could live through the Reagan years and not know this.
Donald Trump gets it. He is not committed to the destruction of our heritage. His likely opponents all are so committed.
She made as much sense as “Stutters” made when he couldn’t put a coherent sentence together to attack Trump with....
