The PGA Tour has been going to Doral, Florida, for 55 straight years. From 1962 until 2006, it visited for the Doral Open, and then in 2007, it began hosting the WGC-Cadillac Championship, which continued until this past year. Fifty-five straight years of PGA Tour golf in Doral.
Well, we might have seen professional golf there for the last time -- at least in the immediate future -- when Adam Scott defeated Rory McIlroy and others at Trump National in March. That's because the PGA Tour has decided to pull one of its marquee events out of the course near Miami and move it to Mexico City for a WGC event in 2017.

What gets me, is most on the tour are died in the wool Republicans. Maybe, just maybe, they'll put up a stink and boycott the event!
Good idea. In fact, why not wear the “Make America Great Again” hats all around the tour when it comes to a city near you and just stand/sit around and never actually enter or buy anything there. These types and everyone who plays the trash Trump game needs a damn good lesson. It is like the idiots who want to point out his tax rates when he first started. Hell, very few make much money starting out, and; had I been Trump, I would have used the first few years to pay back the loan and pay as little tax as possible. In 76 I used my Mark IV almost exclusively for business. I wrote off some 40% of the 12K cost using the sum of the year digits method or 40,30,20,10 over 4 years. That was legal and why many businessmen bought a lake house for entertaining plus you name it.
