[ Is Libertarian Gary Johnson a Good Alternative to Trump or Clinton? ]

I don’t think they’re gonna be happy until they split things and put Hillary, Bernie or Crazy Uncle Joe into office. smh

Governor Johnson is still worthy of a look, particularly from conservatives with libertarian ideologies.

More of a Protest Vote, and a vote for him is the equivalent of a vote for Senator Clinton.

The Libertarians have no ethical values. Their corruption will hold no bars and the rule of law will be on the take.

A continuation of the current administration.

Except neither Johnson nor Weld is a libertarian. They were both liberal Republican governors who have not gotten any less liberal since they left office.

***** He is not an alternative. *****

Agreed. Not to us but to a million or two, he may be an alternative. And. he’ll probably attract more who would have voted for Trump then who would have voted for Hillary or Sanders. IMO!

I hope this doesn’t end up being a disaster for us.

Although it is interesting where this 10% support is coming from and where it ends up.

The latest Fox poll is instructive. It has Trump vs. Clinton with Trump 45, Clinton 42. The same poll with Johnson added is Trump 42, Clinton 39, Johnson 10. Trump has a 3% lead either way. No difference. Johnson takes equally from Pubs and Rats.

I think you meant to say that in OH, WI, NM, etc. a vote for a third party candidate will help split the TRUMP vote (not the anti-Trump vote). Correct me if I am wrong.

Certainly Johnson could be expected to work to end the federal “war on drugs.” He only recently resigned as CEO of Cannabis Sativa, a marijuana marketing firm. While he has made no secret of his personal use of pot, he discourages the use of harder drugs, although he does not favor government restrictions on their use.

A pothead potus, just what we need....

Bear in mind that Nevada, Idaho, Colorado, Arizona, and other states in that vicinity have substantial Mormon populations as well. I am not so sure that all or most Mormons will follow Romney but it is certainly a possibility. If Trump runs as a reasonably social conservative candidate, he can reach around LDS "leaders" and Moral Monster Mitt Romney and capture a LOT of Mormon votes.

Trump will also garner electoral votes elsewhere because his campaign will appeal to many genuinely dispossessed Democrats and Unaffiliated.

No, not even to them. They are low-IQ morons who don’t realize that there is only one “alternative”: to enable Hillary.

It’s an IQ test. The libertarians fail miserably, every election. This year they are being joined by other low-IQ morons like Kristol.

“These Cruz turds don’t care. They would rather see Hillary win than admit they backed the wrong horse.”

Way to go sailor76, there are a lot of Cruz supporters who realize we have no chose but finally come to Trump! But with idiotic statements like this, you make it very hard! Why call us names if you want our votes!

Interesting that the spat between Trump and Martinez (current NM Gov) was so close to this deal - wonder if Trump was aware and pre-planning to neuter the guy’s affect...
