WSJ’s Stephen: Trump Must Be ‘Decisively Rebuked’ So Republican Voters ‘Learn Their Lesson’
Breitbart ^ | May 29, 2016 | Jeff Poor

Posted on 05/30/2016 4:49:15 AM PDT by C19fan

Sunday on CNN’s “Fareed Zakaria GPS,” The Wall Street Journal’s deputy editorial page editor Bret Stephens argued against presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s candidacy and said he must be “decisively rebuked” to the point that it will teach Republican voters a “lesson".

I am so glad Bret Stephens put his name on that statement instead of hiding behind the scenes getting others to say it. Words have consequences.

The current President of Mexico and his family

Freeper Chickensoup observes:

when people ask me about the Mexican illegal aliens, I just say that I am uncomfortable with being complicit with the Mexican ethnic cleansing by elite and wealthy Mexicans against their indigenous population.

Here's what the USA gets:

I have been reading the WSJ and NYT for the last 30 years. Except for their editorial pages the WSJ is the most liberal, anti-American rag I have ever read. They are pushing the Beast for Prez because of Murdoch’s affinity for liberal causes (he is an Aussie immigrant having been naturalized in the 1980’s so he could own a TV station(s)). The politics of Roger Ailes are the only thing that keeps Fox News still occasionally conservative.

I read the WSJ but it is a shell of what it once was since Murdoch took over. More than once I think of canceling except there are some parts I do enjoy reading.

The Editorial Page though is a wreck, there is almost no columnist that I really like anymore, they are rabidly Anti-Trump and most of them are complete morons including Bret Stephens.

One guy I really used to like reading was John Fund but his byline no longer appears. Murdoch really has run this paper into the ground. I keep thinking maybe I should drop it and take Investor’s Business Daily, at least their editorial page is closer to what I like.

Can you imagine their faces if we emptied our ghettos and prisons into their back yard the way they do us?

If my neighbor throws his garbage over my fence, he’s going to wake up to quite a surprise one morning.

This explained everything, his loyalty is not to America, which is just a tool in his eyes in the endless wars in ME. Tough boys such as Him and Bill kristol should be dropped in the middle of Syria to fight their own damned war.

The absolute conceited, unpatriotic arrogance of this guy and others is unbelievable. One of the fundamental tenants of modern conservatism, including the version advocated by the WSJ, is that the courts, especially the Supreme Court, have repeatedly usurped the Constitution. Now we have a brilliant, once in four generations, opportunity to turn it around by electing Mr. Trump and having him select originalist justices, as he has promised. The alternative is to have the Constitution gutted by the Marxists the Witch is sure to select. IOW it's saving the country vs. destroying it. Yet these vile, conceited, arrogant, evil, unpatriotic nitwit fools are willing to destroy the country and repudiate what most of us thought were some of their strongest conservative principles in a tantrum few four year olds could even conceive, let alone pull off. Never, in all of my 73 years, have a group of supposedly responsible, "conservative adults" so disgraced themselves just because they didn't get exactly what they wanted. It's as though they received chocolate cake at a birthday party instead of white cake, and decided to burn the house down because of it.

Stephen’s thought that we ‘must be taught a lesson’ smacks of sheer elitism. He truly is a Nazi, and he truly does believe he is one of the OverMen.

And he truly does believe we are serfs(sadly) with a vote.

It’s too easy to say these folks must be relegated to the dustbin of history, although they must be. It is more important to focus on what specifically must be done.

Specifically, we prove him wrong to himself by ELECTING Donald Trump.

The “#NeverTrump” neo-cons are the real enemy: socialists who masquerade as conservatives, in service of the UniParty.

Well said.

If you read Dune by Frank Herbert you get a glimpse of what galactic government run by family/corporate cartels is like. It ain’t pretty and we are heading that way.

The Mexican Aristocracy descends from Spain and often refer to themselves as Spanish or Castillian. Does Vicente Fox look “Mexican”? The underclass in Mexico descend from the native peoples who were conquered by the Spanish. They are the Mexicans we see. Mexico has two classes of peoples, the elite white rulers and the Indians.

I’m a Frank Herbert fan.

I read the entire Dune series, and then those by his son.

You are correct, though, that the aristocracies pictured in Dune are best seen as national socialist. Even Duke Leto’s armies were goose-steppers to a degree.

what an arrogant prick. Voters need to be taught a lesson???!

The only people needing to "learn a lesson" are him, and all his kind. WE THE PEOPLE have had quite enough of being 'led' by the lost. And make no mistake, they are totally, an hopelessly lost. They are so lost that they not only don't know *where* they are, they have no apparent clue as to *when* they are. They are in desperate need of Regis Philbin to sell them the aforementioned clue, but seeing as how that worthy is nowhere in sight, I'll give them one, free of charge, nice guy that I am.

To wit, this is the United States of America, it is not Great Britoonia. We don't do the whole "lords and serfs" thing here, never really caught on. As a bonus, here is clue two, likewise free of charge. This is the TWENTY FIRST Century. It is most assuredly NOT the TWELFTH. Does this drooling moron understand what that particular datum signifies? What it means, dimbulb, is that YOU are *NOT* 'Milord', I am NOT a 'serf', and I'm for D-----d sure not YOUR serf. He needs to adjust his attitude accordingly, or it will have to be adjusted for him. Either way, he needs to understand that he should 'make book' on one, or the other, of those things occurring...
