We may be just this screwed: Donald Trump has an easier path to victory than you think

As the 2016 presidential primaries got underway, there seemed to be several incontrovertible truths: Hillary Clinton’s nomination was inevitable, and Donald Trump stood no chance. Yet, here we are six months before the election, and Trump has seized the Republican nomination while Clinton is still working to box out Bernie Sanders’ insurgency (without losing his voters, who it turns out, may peel off after all).

--snip--

A Referendum on Obama’s Administration and Bill Clinton’s

Historically speaking, it is rare that a party that completed two terms in the Oval Office manages to win a third. Granted, Obama has been a transformational president, and his popularity remains high. However, the problem facing Hillary is that she’s not only going to be held to account for the failures and shortcomings of the Obama administration, but also of her husband’s tenure in office.

Consider: Despite Hillary Clinton’s unparalleled credentials, her historic potential as the first female POTUS, her early and nearly insurmountable delegate lead, and the near-unanimous and robust support from the Democratic Party establishment throughout—she is having trouble “closing the deal” for the nomination.

The long and short of it: Hillary's negatives come from her career in politics. Trump's come from, well, being Trump and his negatives in politics are incidental and malleable at this point. To which Salon is postulating that Hillary's road to the White House is a whole lot rougher (to the point they now admit Trump has a chance to win.)

Panic City on the left. I think they’re feeling the same way we all felt in 1992, 1996, 2008 and four years ago when we knew the GOP candidate was going to lose the presidential race even before the convention.

There's a lot of humor in the article (for a conservative) about how Hillary's positions have 'evolved' over the years from changes in perspective, experience and growth, whereas Trump's is from 'pandering.'

No mention in any evolution in Hillary's views of public records acts or the security of state secrets - well, for obvious reasons.

Apparently long enough to hit 'send' to transmit the article to the editor for review; I'd suspect that this will likely cut off the funds from Hillary's campaign, alas. So likely this will be the last drug bing they can afford...

It is precisely her perceived cynicism and duplicity as a politician that drive her unfavorable rating.

Yeah, "perceived." As if we're seeing something that isn't there. It's more like: I "perceived" the sun rising in the east this morning, as I "perceived" the sky was blue.

Their problem is that the Clinton Machine and the Soros Machine have such complete control of the DNC that there isn’t any room for a real candidate to emerge.

So its Clinton or nobody. And you notice that no one except a no-name with no record has dared to run against her for the nomination. He was a fake candidate intended to make it look like a real race, but so unpopular is she, and so closed is the party to any real candidates in the party, that people have flocked to the fake candidate in droves.

That is their problem. It isn’t Trump, it is that DNC has been captured by Machine politics, and the only daylight is when the two machines turn on one another. Aside from that, there is no room for anyone else. No one within DNC dares to run against the Machines.

Subtle language trick leftist sites and TV propaganda comedy news shows use.

They write as if they and the reader ALREADY agree, and the wording is to prevent you from potentially straying from the slant they, as “journalists” and supposedly accredited professionals, are confirming to you is the correct and intelligent view to have.

People STILL think that news outlets are professionally forbidden from injecting so much slant in stories. And in the past, this was mostly the case as a newspaper could not survive if the readers saw obviously bias in a mainline news story.

But since Salon, Huffington Post, Rolling Stone, The Daily Show, John Oliver, NY Times, Yahoo, and many others aren’t professional news sources, and are just leftist activists that have made up pretend news outlets that can claim to just be a blog or a comedy show when questioned. No journalist of note are left to expose this so this type of writing is appearing EVERYWHERE.

To at least some degree, Trump's negatives come from people who love to hate him. hillary's negatives come from people who hate hillary.

I also have to wonder if Obama fans really have thought about what a hillary presidency would mean to Obama's legacy. hillary in the WH would get to define that. Obama would be blamed for all the bad stuff and hillary would cast herself as a victim.

Use that talking point with Obama fans. Hint....Obama's favorability is much higher than hillary's is.
