I think I have a small part of the Hillary fiasco understood in my mind. The email server issue will help sink her candidacy and Trump will win the presidency. The Clinton Foundation scandal, cash for access, will not be resolved until after the election.

That means a Republican Attorney General will be the one to prosecute Hillary & Company. And that, my friends, means it’s quite possible that we could actually see Hillary convicted of something.

Some recent public comments she made indicating she wouldn’t endorse him until he came around on an issue....I believe it was a border related issue. Freepers may clarify.

So Republicans have a choice. They can either join the Democrats as the second political party in Washington advocating uncontrolled immigration, or they can offer the public a principled alternative and represent the American workers Democrats have jettisoned. Republicans can either help the White House enact an immigration plan that will hollow out the American middle class, or they can finally expose the truth about the White House plan and detail the enormous harm it will inflict.

Great stuff, voters are tired of the status quo on both sides. They want someone, something, new. That’s Donald Trump. They will get him.

“I am concerned that he will try to put Trump into a political straitjacket that will take away many of his strengths. Trump should not modify his positions on immigration, trade, and the Islamic threat. If he does, Trump will lose. “

A valid concern. My impression is that Manafort is a smart guy who will let Trump be Trump. More someone who will offer his own knowledge of what the campaign might need from a nuts and bolts perspective rather than any attempt to change Trump’s message.

Trump has no problem with non-Hispanic white female voters similar to Romney who won their vote 56% to 42%. They comprised 38% of the total electorate.

This is more about minority women voters who are comprising a bigger and bigger share of the electorate. They are the ones who skew the data. Race and ethnicity are more important than gender when it comes to the women's vote.

Black women voted 96% to 3% for Obama. They comprised 8% of the electorate. Black men voted 87% to 11% for Obama. Interesting difference.

Despite the old communist associations with “Workers Party”, Donald clearly gives it new meaning, i.e.....The party of those who honestly work for a living vs. those who could work but expect the govt. to care for them via welfare programs, food stamps, disability, etc.

Sen. Ron Johnson on the air on CBS saying the govt. is doing so many things it was never supposed to do.

I posed that question to a dem candidate for the House on Friday.I flat out told him private enterprise can do things much cheaper and much more efficiently.

His answer--more infrastructure spending.

They don't get it.Don't have a clue about budgets or debt and think everyone is just like them corrupt and criminal.

The old ways are dying. We are helping kill them.

That could easily happen. Is it also possible that the current regime will let her be prosecuted so they can execute presidential pardons to her and her buddies.?

New Mexico's governor, Susana Martinez, chairwoman of the Republican Governors Association, did not mince words: She told the crowd of about 60 wealthy GOP backers that, as a Latina, she was offended by Trump's language about immigrants. Noting her years working as a prosecutor on the Mexican border and now as a border-state governor, Martinez said Trump's plan to build a wall and force Mexico to pay for it was unrealistic and irresponsible, according to multiple people in attendance.

New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez makes sharp critique of Trump at RGA donor event - The Washington Post - April 14 (?), 2016

After Trump's criticism ...

Martinez spokesman Mike Lonergan said the governor -- a former Marco Rubio supporter who has not yet said she'll back the GOP nominee in November -- won't be "bullied" into supporting Trump "until she is convinced" he'd act in New Mexico's best interests.

New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez hits back at Trump - CNNPolitics.com - May 25, 2016

The press theme is that Trump is particularly hostile to Latino's, rather than what seems to be the case, he is hostile to ANY special interest that uses only race or sex as justification for preferential treatment. His "build the wall" and his attack on Martinez are both spun in exactly this way, racial hostility on Trump's part. Fournier is using the same template, but applying it to Trump voters.

My intuitive sense is that Trump should not trust her, at all. She'll be a governor's version of Ryan and Romney. They are at least miffed, probably angry and hostile to any success by Trump, and while they won;t be openly hostile, they will work to sabotage Trump.

-- YEah its hard to imagine there are still a few glen beck clones teetering on the same ledge he's been on for a while.... --

Given the large number of people in the country, it's hard to imagine there isn't a surplus of lunatics. Remember Cindy Sheehan? Big following for awhile, or at least the press would have the public believe that. I think our impressions of reality are wildly distorted. Each of sees our own circle, and whatever parts of the press catch our fancy. The world is much more diverse than that.

Great catch,thanks.

This is usually Trumps style.

He doesn't strike out first but responds to earlier hits.Looks like that's what it was here and surprise, surprise none of the drivebys reported it. When you google it all you get is what Martinez has to say after trumps comments never before. If truth is to get out we need to get it out here in the New Media.

How did she hit him? By refusing to attend his rally?

She is the sitting Rep governor and Chair of the National Republican Governors Committee. Trump, the presumptive nominee of the party is holding his only rally in the state capital and Martinez is too busy to attend or even meet separately with Trump for a photo op. It is called in the vernacular, being dissed big time. Martinez should have made some sort of gesture to Trump in the name of party unity and defeating the Dems given her position in the GOP.

She has, in the past, attacked Trump for his tone and on immigration. Tribal politics supersedes party loyalty and solidarity.

Trump is firing a shot across the bow of the GOPe, i.e., support me and party unity, or you are fair game.

-- Manafort is the more polished, conventional political consultant. I am concerned that he will try to put Trump into a political straitjacket that will take away many of his strengths. --

I'm sure Manafort is persuasive to Trump, but I don't think Trump sees him as an equal - just an expert in the field of winning popular elections. Trump is feeling his way around how to relate to the public as president. That is not the only venue where Trump will play as president. He will also be negotiating with Congress, with foreign countries, and with the hidden string pullers.

Morning Cousin Mike!

I put the McLaughlin family crest you posted last week on Facebook. Man all the McLaughlins came out of the woodwork and they had all kinds of different crests.

Anyway my granddaughter is out helping her father load the truck. She’s 12 and doing a bang up job. Granddaughter’s name is Frey and son-in-law has to deal with crazy daughter, only she is his WIFE! she had so many PFA’s against him and she had him arrested so many times my head spins.

She manipulates the system with ease and fluidity.

Anyway I say to son-in-law that granddaughter’s expert journeyman skills come from the McLaughlin side of the family.

Son-in-law laughs and says it sure ain’t from the Fish side.

Well of course granddaughter is NOT a Fish and this is important in that we are going to Mass. this summer and visit brother-in-law Mike Fish and mother-in-law. Mike, a great guy, my beloved ex-husband’s brother, has a son, Matthew. I want Kaitlyn to meet Matthew as they are NOT related.

Finally, I got a little rant about Hillary Clinton.

Every day I sit and ponder when is the hammer going to come down. When is that woman going to get kicked out of the race because folks, day and night and night and day I do not see people voting for that woman.

She is very unlikeable, she is obviously so crooked. Already the polls show her falling behind.

The email thing is not helping her and I pray let it go on and on and on.

I predict she won’t last beyond end of June.

The press is trying to peel off "small government" voters who favor Trump with this "workers party = communist" association. I think it came up in one of the talk shows this morning, and the answer given was that Trump's refefrence is to "American workers," which leads the same way you say. Jobs for Americans, not jobs for trading treaty partners.
