Frankly, I would prefer no one from the senate.
That is the most traitorous, conniving, useless gathering of pure trash in the entire universe.
None of them are worth spit.

Sessions is too valuable in the Senate.
We only have 5-6 Senators who are on the side of the citizens.

I think Trump should go on TV and demand Nikki Halley to accept his offer for VP. Not that I am much of a Nikki fan, but I think she should be VP. She’s the best balanced ideological and strategic pick. She just needs to get over herself.
Trump has many great picks, most of them Ideological balancing picks, but Nikki Haley brings the strategic pick along with her.
Newt is out. Once he started going off message about Trump on the news network I removed him from the bottom of my VP list and I’m pretty sure Trump did too.

We have to make sure we hold the Senate.
That's what the Dems are looking at now. I think they consider Hillary a goner against Trump.
To: John W
He should certainly be on the list.
The last time the country was at a place like this the GOPe forced Bush down Reagan’s throat. This time we need a Vice President who can keep the revolution going.
Is Sessions dynamic enough to carry the ball if something happens to Trump?
If so, is he young enough to carry the torch 8 years from now?
(And... Whoever Trump picks... Please... NO MORE BUSHES!)

I’m not too happy about losing my Senator to just the VP slot but if it leads to the Presidency in 4 or 8 years then it will be worth it. Now we will have to find a replacement, and he won’t be easy to replace. Shelby, our other Senator is an old Democrat who switched to get elected and who we never hear from again until the next election. We got screwed when we elected Martha Roby to Congress. She talked the talk but when she got to DC she was useless. Now she is relies on the uninformed and party line voters to keep her in office. So with her in mind I hope we won’t wind up with another sellout if we do have to replace Senator Sessions.

Trump should view this as a political calculation and look at the electoral map. Remember that the ‘Rats don't have to spend a dime and they'll get CA, OR, HI, WA, MN, IL, NJ, (probably) NY, MA, RI, CT, MD, DC, DE, and VT. The only high electoral vote state we can count on is TX. The others are either moderate electoral votes (e.g., IN) or paltry electoral votes like WY and MT. We really need the battleground states and among those OH, FL, and VA are almost must-win. For OH, Trump isn't going to get Kasich as VP, and the only other choice is Rob Portman, who is running for re-election to the Senate and has a tough fight for that. In FL, Trump has already said Rubio should run for the Senate, and Rick Scott barely won re-election, so that isn't a strong choice. That leaves VA. About the only one who could help him there would be Jim Webb, if he could be persuaded to become a ‘Pub or an Independent. Webb has expressed dissatisfaction with the national ‘Rat party so Trump could throw a wild card into the race by picking someone like Webb.

I’m surprised. I always felt like Sessions would not want to Leave the Senate. He would be a good choice. Or Newt.
