Please God, no Nikki Haley for VP. She is horrible, and I voted for her the first time. Give me Newt of Sessions.
Sessions or Gingrich
I’m surprised. I always felt like Sessions would not want to Leave the Senate. He would be a good choice. Or Newt.
Nobody including Sessions is perfect.
He won’t.
All of them were anti-Trump at some point, some pretty vociferously.
Of course no one is perfect.
But Sessions is more conservative than Cruz in the main, yet he endorsed Trump early.
Instead of Cruz.
Yet you hang on to Cruz as if that never happened. Or as if Sessions just made a mistake.
What if he saw something profound, and it wasn't a mistake?
I used to support Cruz big time. I'm every bit as conservative as you, yet I saw the same thing Sessions did.
I'd say it's time to let it go. Unlike the Senator we both supported, it's time to unite to defeat whoever the totalitarian dems throw at us.
“I think Trump should go on TV and demand Nikki Halley to accept his offer for VP. Not that I am much of a Nikki fan, but I think she should be VP. Shes the best balanced ideological and strategic pick. She just needs to get over herself.”
In one word: NO!!! Nikki Haley is an amnesty supporting RINO who bowed to political correctness during the Confederate flag controversy.
She also castigated Trump during the State of the Union rebuttal. Haley is just as bad as Ryan and Kasich.
No it's not a dodge. Your response to my comment is BS.
Of course no one is perfect.
And of course I don't agree with Sessions on everything, such as his early endorsement of Trump. As I said, nobody is perfect and just because I agree with Sessions 98% of the time doesn't mean that I agree with him 100% of the time. That's really not a very complicated concept.
But Sessions is more conservative than Cruz in the main, yet he endorsed Trump early.
That's your opinion. I think they are about the same.
Instead of Cruz. Yet you hang on to Cruz as if that never happened.
Nonsense. You're the one who has brought up Cruz multiple times in your response to me. I didn't bring him up. You're the one who can't seem to let go. Why did you even bring his name up?? My comment had nothing to do with Cruz. Do you not understand that?
Or as if Sessions just made a mistake. I used to support Cruz big time. I'm every bit as conservative as you, yet I saw the same thing Sessions did.
And you're the one who brought up Session's early endorsement, I didn't. You should really let it go.
I'd say it's time to let it go.
Your entire post is bizarre. I suspect that you are projecting your feelings about old battles fought during the primaries.
Unlike the Senator we both supported, it's time to unite to defeat whoever the totalitarian dems throw at us.
It's time to push Trump to be as conservative as possible and it's time to defeat Hillary. That was the simple meaning of my original post, and the point stands.
As to bringing up Cruz, it's pretty clear you supported him, so why all the fuss? I have no problem with Cruz supporters, just the unrepentant Cruzers who think he never did anything wrong, or those (like Cruz himself) who are so upset over the loss they can't give Trump support to beat the dems.
I was an early Cruz supporter, switched to Trump in January, and have zero scars from engaging Cruzers. None of my engagements were reduced to name calling, and most (not all) were reasonable conversations.
My original comment and my response to your original comment were pretty clear. No need to say that I was "dodging the question".
As to bringing up Cruz, it's pretty clear you supported him, so why all the fuss?
Who is fussing? Again, you're the one who brought up Cruz.
I have no problem with Cruz supporters, just the unrepentant Cruzers who think he never did anything wrong, or those (like Cruz himself) who are so upset over the loss they can't give Trump support to beat the gems.
Why don't you find a Cruz supporter who thinks Cruz never did anything wrong and who doesn't want to beat Hillary and address your concerns to them. Again, my original comment and response had nothing to do with Cruz.

I'm always willing to have a reasonable conversation. And as I pointed out, Sessions would be a good VP pick to rally conservative skeptics.
Conservatism and beating Hillary are two good things.
Have a good holiday weekend.
I have not been able to find a video of Duncan at the San Deigo rally. If found let me know.
I'm skeptical about Trump because he's human, I know he will make mistakes that will bite us in the rear end. That being said, he's clearly the best candidate, will make the best president of all the candidates who ran, and I have no skepticism about that at all. Not a bit.
It's probable that Sessions is on the short list, but I doubt it will be him. I'm just thrilled with Sessions being an adviser, along with the rest he has surrounded himself with.
You have a great weekend as well.
