trump-sanders debate would be hillary's worst nightmare

Just when you thought the 2016 election was starting to get a little predictable, a big wrench has been thrown into the works.

A Donald Trump vs. Bernie Sanders debate in the coming days before the June 7th California primary is getting closer to becoming a reality. If this happens, it will likely be a huge boost for Sanders, a mild aid to Trump, and -- to borrow the key buzz word of this election so far – a YUGE pain in the neck for Hillary Clinton.

A Trump/Sanders debate would help them both, probably would put Sanders over the top in the California primary.

Maybe, but that’s just not Trump’s style. He would expose Sanders’ crazy ideas, but by treating him with a modicum of respect and acknowledging the common concerns for America’s workers, he would peel off tens of thousands of Dinobernie voters.

If the debate does take place, I think Trump should not go for the kill - instead, he should “sandbag” Sanders and let him come out of it thinking he’s held his own against Trump.

The smart thing would be for Trump to win by a slight margin. Treat Bernie with deference, pound the snot out of Hillary and take some shots at the media, asking why they are not going after Hillary more.

Exactly. And when Trump pounds on the MSM, it would be superhuman of Sanders if he were able to resist to join in.

exactly. like Trump expressing honest concern for the coal miners who would be put out of work by Hillary closing the coal mines. What is Hillary going to do about free market forces? What will Hillary do about the thousands if not millions of people who will be permanently pulled off their manufacturing jobs by her centrally-managed economic policies (if they could even be called policies)? A federal retraining program for unemployed (oops, sorry, dislocated) coal miners? retraining them for what— becoming baristas at Starbucks? Replacing good manufacturing jobs with minimum wage service jobs and negative-productivity government regulatory jobs is all that Hillary and her ilk have to offer.

Leave it to the TV debate audience and to the voters to connect the dots between Hillary’s policies and Bernie’s policies. Anyone who does not have the intelligence to make that connection probably cannot or does not want to be saved anyway— diehard socialist true believers.

Trump and Sanders will walk away from it buddies.

I don't think so. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/us-politics/12128409/Bernie-Sanders-accuses-Donald-Trump-of-bigotry-racism-and-lying.html.

“He can be explicit about that, too, during his debate air time. Trump needs to give disenfranchised Sanders voters a chance to vent their frustration by voting Trump over Hillary.”

I would also mention if it wasn’t for those 600 “super delegates” that Hilarity bought, Sanders and her Thighness are neck and neck. Be nice to ask Bernie how he feels about that.
