This was her consolation prize for dropping out in 2008. If the DNC pulls any stunts, she will sink whomever they put up as a replacement.

While she will still likely be the nominee (though every day her iron grip slips more), we DON’T need her to be to win. Trump is in hyper-drive right now. We are getting near the point where he could beat anyone the Democrats put up.
No to worry. Trump will easily come out on top in a contest against Biden and Sanders running as an independent.
I think Trump is going to thump anyone the DemocRATs put up at this point. No matter what current polls say about Sanders, he would get shredded once Trump goes to work on him, considering his ideas and history. Biden, Warren, others? I don’t think the ‘Rats have any good replacement for Shrillary at this point. Let her crash and burn, just so long as it means JAIL time....
