'Daily Show' Dedicates Entire Episode To Gun Control

This election season has truly suffered without Jon Stewart behind The Daily Show desk, and Trevor Noah's tenure thus far has been tepid at best. But Noah & Co. did good last night, dedicating an entire episode to gun control thanks to the NRA's recent endorsement of Donald Trump and general stranglehold over any gun control policy proposed, no matter how small.

Noah dug into Trump's hypocrisy when it comes to sucking up to the gun-clutching masses, considering he's voiced support of gun control in the past—even pointing out how at the NRA meeting last week, Trump said he gets "a little bit concerned" about how many rifles and guns his sons own (A Trumpian slip: "When you tell the truth when you're trying to pander,"). Meanwhile, correspondent Desi Lydic asked NRA members if they support policies like universal background checks and paperwork on automatic weapons, which, surprisingly, they do.

What a pant load of crap. As usual. Oh yeah, 98% of those that would like more background checks are 98% sure they'd like that. Or something. At least the gave the Nuge a plug by mentioning Stranglehold.

Consider the audience. They are reinforcing the pantywaist kids our public indoctrination centers are churning out en masse. America will not look the same in 20 years.

Well, aren’t they special. (sarcasm, derision)

They pride themselves on being a satirical comic look at the new media and current events, but when they get somewhat serious about something, it’s always pushing a liberal cause. Who would have guessed???

I have not seen the new version of the show. I saw it a number of times in the past with Jon Stewart, both when Bush was president and when Obama was president. Stewart beat up on Bush far more than he ever did on Obama, which also reflects a bias as to what subjects or people are not to be the butt of the joke.

A new law should be passed pertaining to all who want gun control and/or the elimination of them from private citizens.

That law should read:
1. All who believe in the need for gun control are required to remove all locks from homes, doors, vehicles and any/and all property.

2. All who believe in the need for gun control are required to call the police and wait patiently until they respond...if at all.

3. All who believe in the need for gun control and are attacked and become the victims of forcible rape should allow it to happen without resistance and simply hope the attacker won’t be back for more later. As a benefit, they might have a baby of a different race than their own and become a member of the mongrel club.

4. All who believe in the need for gun control should invite our new muslim hordes into their neighborhoods and enjoy the benefits of Islam.

Nuff, said......how stupid can these people be?

What is The Daily Show and who are the viewers? (that is sarcasm if that was not clear)

It is not shocking that the best protected people are always the strongest advocates for banning firearms. Because let’s be honest, ‘gun control’ is just a coverup of what they desire, banning guns.

I’m sure that part of the episode was dedicated to how the studio has taken the first step in removing any and all armed guards from the campus, and how the studio only relies upon 911 for any issues that come up.

What? No? Oh, it is different because their armed guards are paid and highly trained employees. Well, gosh, then they must trust those same people to take their firearms home after work, right? That anyone with similar training (say military service) should be able to just walk into any gun store and pick up whatever they want, right?

Of course not.

I still think that if there is ever a convention of the people to amend the constitution it should begin with one simple amendment: Every law, rule, regulation, finding shall apply equally to the government and the employees of the people as it does to the people. Any law which gives exemption to the government shall result in an equal exemption to the people.

If the progs want to make a big part of this election about gun control, Trump will win in a landslide. Their memories of the ‘94 midterms have faded.

If the Dems wanted all guns to go through an instant check, they would make the service free and allow average citizens to call-up and use it.

You would not have to make it mandatory either, just pass a law that any person who used the service prior to transferring a weapon to another person would be immune from any civil prosecution for the arms use after the sale if you do the check. So if you wanted to sell a gun, you call the instant check, type in their drivers license number and if it clears you get a unique transaction number. Keep a copy of that for 7 years.

No 4473 sitting around for collection. No dealer records, no registration. It would work just about as well as any such system would and anyone who is legal would use it.

The Dems will never suggest that. Why? Because they want reregistration, so someday they can confiscate.

To: rktman; All

I was contacted by the show.

I talked at length about it with one of the producers.

Surprise!

I did not make the cut.

Faded? Never had it. For most of these wet-behind-the-ears punks running the two (virtually identical) political parties, they have no living memory of the ‘94 election, because they weren’t born until 1984 or after. They were watching cartoons in footie pajamas eating Froot Loops while their mom worked in 1994. (But really, what has changed?) They do not know that Clinton’s gun ban got the Dems thrown out of Congress in ‘94.

Of course not. They don’t want anyone with ACTUAL KNOWLEDGE of guns and gun laws! They’d rather just demagogue an issue they know they are losing.

“the gunclutching masses”

Hokay...you feel that way, walk into Cabelas and start overturning product displays. Show the masses your superiority.
