Target's weak store sales and its expectations for this quarter, released Wednesday, pushed shares down 9 percent in morning trading. Shares of almost every retailer followed suit in what is shaping up to be a miserable year ... Shares of J.C. Penney, Kohl's, Macy's and Nordstrom fell as well. Shares of Wal-Mart, which reports earnings on Thursday, fell almost 4 percent

‘One FREEPer suggested going into Target and loading up the shopping cart with a lot of stuff, possibly perishables, and then realizing at check out you don’t agree with the bathroom policy. Or you forgot your wallet in”

I just wouldn’t give them the time of day. Don’t counter their idiotic-ness with attention. It just gives them ‘ammunition’ to say those who disagree with them are verdictive/bad people. This situation doesn’t need drama of a ‘bad relationship’. It needs a ‘divorce.’

Some interesting clips from a WSJ article:

“Off-price chain TJX Cos. and home improvement stores like Home Depot Inc. have reported healthy traffic and spending at their locations,
For the current quarter, Target expects to post $1 to $1.20 in adjusted earnings per share, well below the $1.36 analysts have projected.suggesting that consumers are willing to spend but are being more selective about where.

Recent data from the U.S. Commerce Department showed that consumer spending in April rose to the best level in more than a year. In the past year, Internet and catalog sales have grown more than three times as fast as overall sales, up 10.2%, while department-store sales sank 1.7% over the past 12 months.”

It’s tough to boycott TJMaxx. That would really hurt. The store right by their main headquarters has high end designer things and a very good selection.

They said their dressing rooms were open to anyone. I don’t think any salesperson is going to dare ask any man to leave the women’s changing rooms.

We have two Targets and one Walmart with a 3 mile radius.

I could see Target closing one of them, and Walmart opening up a second store in the closed one.

That business will not disappear if one of their stores is closed. The shoppers will buy stuff elsewhere.

If you purchase something from Target on the internet, you purchased something from Target.

The “powers that be”, for some reason, want to take down Christianity. And the only reason possible is satanic. I’m starting to believe that everyone of these people in power are satan worshippers.

I remember in the 70s it was rumored that Proctor and Gamble was a “satanic” corporation. And where did the head of the VA come from? So, maybe it’s true. And that saddens me because this guy showed so much promise.

At least one globalists liberal CEO is having his nose rubbed in his elitism. I hope more are targeted like target.

Okay, that seems to be a workable plan for your area. Good.

Some things will obviously be sold elsewhere. Other folks on specific items may simply hold off.

“The Generals” never die for their mistakes, the grunts do.

Well, there was the notable exception of General Stonewall Jackson.

They would have to touch the packaging in order to pass it over the scanner.

They won’t do that.

I thought that this was common knowledge.

I didn’t know what reasons you were referring to? It wasn’t clear. But, I think I understand now.

You know, I have found myself lamenting the employee issue, but that’s part of the game, sadly.

I don’t frequent the ones around here. Once in a while I buy a greeting card there.

Lately I’ve been skipping that too.

It was such a simple thing. As you said, convert a restroom to TrannyTown USA. Done.

This is agenda driven, and it’s more about tweaking kids and their parents than anything else.

This “S” needs to stop right here!

One would hope so. Thanks.

I know that at times when I can’t find something, I often simply decide not to buy right then.

If there was something I used to buy at Target, I might just take a pass for a while.

Killing U.S. capitalism has been one of the major goals of the Leftists. Bringing perverts into retail restrooms greatly increases the speed of the downfall of retail businesses.

Dude

Trophy wives don’t shop Target

I’m married to one....she shops Nordstroms or Neimans or online....boutiques....TJ Maxx or UAL for bargains...Saks....maybe Dillard’s for makeup...

If we had Bloomies she’d shop there too....

But you’re right that it’s a more polished wal mart or k mart

I’m a trophy husband and I do shop Wally World for stuff like kids jeans and tshirts and some groceries and just junk

Sams Club for all kind of stuff from TVs to khaki board shorts ...two for 19.99.....

Dollar General for detergents and household

TSC for carhartt

For dress up Preppie I swear by Brooks Brothers polos ....they barely shrink unlike Ralph’s

And Peter Milar for the fancy clothes and a Burberry navy hopsack blazer and one khaki poplin suit and my dads seersucker...both Haspel from Ruebensteins on Canal ...NOLA

Patagonia North Face and a splurge .....Pendleton wool board shirts ...135/each .....I must have 20 and some were grandpas ......Jax in Sons of Anarchy wore them......for winter....I’m outside a lot so lined jeans are a must too

Teva flip flops down to 35 degrees.....Crockett and Jones desert boots in caramel after that.....lacrosse rubber boots for inclement

That’s about my entire clothing at 58.....and Paul Ryan subtle western shirts...faded....Pearl buttons for date night

Another splurge....handcrafted soap from whole foods...5.99/lb

And fancy candles from nice girl places

/personal habits rant off
