Hillary Clinton’s email problems just got much worse
The Washington Post ^ | May 25, 2016 | Chris Cillizza

One of the two big dominoes in the Hillary Clinton email controversy toppled today: The State Department's inspector general released its report on the email practices of Clinton and a number of other past secretaries of state. (The other major domino is, of course, the FBI investigation into Clinton's decision to exclusively use a private email server while serving as the nation's top diplomat.)

The report, which you can read in its entirety here, badly complicates Clinton's past explanations about the server and whether she complied fully with the laws in place governing electronic communication. And it virtually ensures that Clinton's email practices will be front and center in Donald Trump's fusillade of attacks against her credibility and honesty between now and Nov. 8.

Here's the key passage from the Roz Helderman and Tom Hamburger's article on the report:

Hillary will be OK as long as the Democrat honchos see her as their Savior in beating Trump. But if her poll numbers plummet and they see there is a good chance of Trump beating her, she will have outlived her usefulness for them. In that case, she will receive a visit from some Democrat luminaries who will present her with a choice: either bow out gracefully with whatever excuse she sees fit (maybe health, whatever) or else face the strong possibility of indictment.

I have posted extensively here on this. It’s all part of setting her for indictment that will come down after the primaries but before the convention. She will be forced to step aside, so Joe Biden can step in. Biden will be the nominee. At which point Bernie Sanders may go rogue.

I agree. And I think that some of this is floated now to see if they need to dump Hillary. Thus, I think it is too early for Trump to pile on.

Trump would be much better running against Hillary than Biden. Trump should "bide" his time hoping that they leave Hillary in place.

Hillary’s transgressions were/are far more damaging because electronic documents are more easily hacked. Printed documents must be physically accessed and generally must be known beforehand.

Amen. Agree 100%. The next domino should be Blumenthal. The NSA already called him out. With Guccifer signed up to plead guilty in the next few days, the FBI has Blumenthal cold.

That will tell us the FBI is decimating the Clintonistas. The Podestas will be on the hook sooner or later too.

"Donald Trump, a candidate whose numbers on honesty, trustworthiness and even readiness to lead are worse — and in some cases, far worse — than hers."

And then at the end, the reporter couldn't resist inserting his own unsubstantiated bias.

I hope they’re just warming up! I fear they will have to put a stake through her heart though. She is a evil woman.

I was wondering about your too many ads comment but then I saw my Firefox Ad Blocker blocked 23 of them. I didn’t see a one.

Maybe Bob Woodward should take one of the twenty reporters ( those checking out women who Trump called “honey’) and reassign that person to assist Chris Cillizza in investigating the largest political criminal probe of our time...

Don’t get excited — this is America where the Clintons belong to the deity. Hillary will get a pass as if nothing happened.

The inspector general, in a long awaited review obtained Wednesday by The Washington Post in advance of its publication, found that Clinton’s use of private email for public business was “not an appropriate method” of preserving documents and that her practices failed to comply with department policies meant to ensure that federal record laws are followed.

A flock of pigs will fly when Chris Cillizza realizes Clinton lied about her motive having the server in a Denver bathroom...

scolding Hillary Clinton

Sure, like tsk-tsking a naughty child.

The bigger point is that rascal Trump may use her illegalities during the campaign, so this is the "limited hang out" to enable the compost to cry old news, old news.

The report also said that department officials “did not — and would not — approve her exclusive reliance on a personal email account to conduct Department business.”...Mrs. Clinton, however, replied that she would consider a separate address or device “but I don’t want any risk of the personal being accessible.”

Hi, honey. I'm off to my yoga class. Could you bring the bag with the $650 000 from Gazprom to the yoga studio? I have to put it in the secret bank account. You know, the "Juanita Broderick Trust"? (sometimes I crack myself up).

SUBJECT: Wedding Plans

Hey Cheryl, I'm going to pick out some centerpieces at the florist for Chelsea's wedding to that FJB Mevzinsky. Could you drop off the check from Prince Bandar at the front desk (don't tell them what it is, LOL). And then would you call the White House and tell that half-breed that Bill says he's got the birth certificate? Thanks!
