Producer Katie Couric and Director Stephanie Soechtig stand accused of doctoring the responses of a group of participants in their anti-gun propaganda film, Under the Gun.
If substantiated, the claim will destroy Couric’s reputation as a journalist and Soechtig’s reputation as a director. It appears that the Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) participants have the evidence in the form of audio from the interview that substantiates their claims.

What’s with all this Katie stuff this week? We hadn’t heard anything out of her for years and now suddenly she’s everywhere. Something is up.
Taping the interview. Wow. Somebody went in with their head screwed on right.
Gun rights people have been in this fight long enough that some of the naivety I’ve seen in the early years has rubbed out. The media is not your friend.
Misinformation and outright lies is how all the media operate. They do this to everyone they don’t like. and the same thing for the people they like except that they lie in that particular person’s favor. They are sociopaths and lie even when the truth is better for them.
They have no credibility to destroy.
The author obviously never caught her disastrous stint attempting to play a network news anchor.

Yep, record them recording you. pretty smart eh? I remember reading a story about 60 minutes requesting an interview with George HW Bush when he was POTUS. He said “sure, as long as the interview is recorded and broadcast without any edits.....the interview request was withdrawn.

The NRA convention wraps up today, so the left has to stick its oar in, and in a “documentary,” a word that Michael Moore and Richard Bellasile pretty much trashed, as the left generally has worn out a perfectly good word: “racist”.
For ex. “Pistol grips are evil,” even though on low bore-axis modern rifles they aid in controllability, making them safer.
“Bayonet mounts are evl.” even though the standard box AR with 16” barrel will simply not fit a standard bayonet. It just rattles around because the handle isn’t long enough.
And this is all assuming that people were being murdered by pistol-gripped carbines and bayoneting. But they aren’t, just as ARs and AKs are rarely murder weapons.
But let’s not confuse them with facts. Hating guns is part of their litany and if someone else is exercising their Constitutional rights (like association and speech at Trump rallies), the special pleading “liberals” feel compelled to demand that those rights be taken away.
She never had any credence as a journalist. She was a touchy-feely feckless idiot.
Couric is to journalism as Gore is to science.

He is no longer alone, in proving without a doubt and with damning evidence, how they both have abused the notion of “objectivity” in reporting to the point of being a total joke.
The mainstream media should distance themselves from both of them for the sake of their credibility, but like Michael Moore they just keep lying away, with no accountability to the truth and even ethics.
