This controversy is surreal because it’s totally artificial. Transgender men and women have been using bathrooms without incident since long before any right wing extremist group dreamed up legislation to alienate and punish them.

Its not about transgender people which is an issue in itself. From the President to various major corporation the command is to allow anyone to use whatever restroom or locker room that they identify with. Who decides that? Every single individual. So any pervert that wants to get access only has to “identify” as something they are not. The policy the President issued and Target issued endanger our children and is total nonsense.

A young man who says his gender identity is female must be offered a college dormitory room with roommates who are women (irrespective of the wishes of those roommates). An athlete who is biologically male in all respects must be allowed to compete for a position on a women’s sports team if he identifies himself as female. A first-grade girl who thinks she’s a boy can use the boys’ bathroom. And, yes, high-school boys who say they’re transgender girls may use the girls’ locker rooms and showers on the same terms, and at the same time, as the girls do — and vice versa, of course, for girls who say they’re transgender boys.
…In other words, it is the advocates of transgender access to bathrooms and showers who, under the guise of their nondiscrimination rhetoric, are in fact seeking to discriminate on the basis of — in favor of — gender identity. That’s exactly what a policy of making gender identity override biological sex entails: It makes gender identity determine which restrooms and showers a person is allowed to use, just as a policy of race-segregated restrooms and showers makes race determine which facilities a person is allowed to use. (I am of course not asserting that racial discrimination and discrimination in favor of gender identity are moral equivalents.)The unsound proposition that separate facilities assigned by biological sex involves discrimination on the basis of gender identity collapses into incoherence. If a boy who identifies as female has a right under Title IX to use the girls’ restrooms and showers, then it would clearly be discrimination on the basis of gender identity to bar a boy who identifies as male from also using them. After all, the difference between these two biological males is that they have different gender identities. How could one of the males be allowed to use the girls’ facilities and the other be barred from doing so if Title IX bars discrimination on the basis of gender identity? In short, contrary to everyone’s (including the Obama administration’s) understanding of Title IX, the transgender illogic would disallow any system of single-sex facilities to survive.

To my understanding, Charlotte passed an ordinance that forced private businesses to let men use their women’s exclusive areas, and allowed men to use the women’s publically owned sex exclusive areas. The NC law lets businesses choose if they want to let men use their women’s areas, and prohibits men from using the publically owned women’s areas.

Then they have also presumably been using those bathrooms without incident before a leftist president and a handful of vocal perverts decided they needed "protection," which, as you've just explained, they did NOT need before.

I'm concerned about the perverts who will pose transgender to get into the girls bathroom. My girl scout's counselors had to use camp names so no perv could follow them home. When pervs started hanging around the fringes of a day camp in a good neighborhood, every girl had to be accompanied to the bathroom by an adult. They are out there and are attracted to places where they can find little girls and boys.
We need a new TV show. “Pee Pee Reality”. Like Porn Stars or Dork Dynasty. Make another “Private Parts” channel on cable.
Hey, what about making one additional large single restroom that is gender-neutral and handicap accessible. Clear glass wall in front so no one will think it’s empty and barge in on you.
