The man known as the pope and the vicar of Christ but who in light of what follows is probably best referred to by his real name, Jorge Mario Bergoglio recently gave an interview demonstrating why "so many people think he is the anti-Christ."
The more salient features follow:
Christ as Warmonger
In classic relativistic fashion, Jorge claims:
It is true that the idea of conquest is inherent in the soul of Islam. However, it is also possible to interpret the objective in Matthew's Gospel, where Jesus sends his disciples to all nations, in terms of the same idea of conquest.Only someone who is ignorant of or hostile to Christianity can make such a claim. To state the obvious: yes, both Christianity and Islam seek to win converts. However, Jesus's call to his disciples to "go forth and make disciples of all nations" in Matthew's Gospel was understood and practiced peacefully. Disciples preached; people converted. No violence, no coercion. In fact, it was Christians chief among them disciples and evangelists who were persecuted and killed simply for preaching Christ, first by the pagan Roman empire and later (and still) by Islam.
Conversely, Muhammad said, "I have been sent with the sword between my hands to ensure that no one but Allah is worshipped Allah who put my livelihood under the shadow of my spear and who inflicts humiliation and scorn on those who disobey my commandments (The Al Qaeda Reader, p.12)." The Koran is replete with commands to do violence on those who refuse to submit to Islam and yes, in ways that far transcend comparison with Old Testament violence.

This pope sucks.
No, it's not "Christianity's suicide," it just affects the RCC. But only IF there is no rebellion within their rank and file over this nonsense. This Pope and Vatican continue to take a wrecking ball to their credibility with impunity.
Many Roman Catholics must publicly reject this Pope's corrupt messages, social justice activism and commie politicizing, and his support of Islam, BUT, they MUST go on the record. LOUDLY, not meekly.
Eastern Orthodox are unaffected by this Vatican's rhetoric, as are Protestants, thus Christ's Gospel and message still keep Christianity alive and well.
The more worrisome consideration: The Vatican's minions are consulted on all this Pope's shocking public statements which appear to endorse Islam and ignore the Gospel. What does THAT tell us?
When you attack Francis then you are attacking those who elected him, which were rank and file Catholics, if bishops are. And which papal office and magisterium is what Catholics tell us evangelicals that we need to have and follow, as does papal teaching. And as Rome treats even proabortion public figures as Catholics in life and in death, thus "rank and file Catholics" are to follow her in so doing, and not be like "Bible-believing fundamentalists," and ascertain the veracity of Truth claims in the light of their Scriptural warrant.
But both her pope and so much else sadly stands in critical contrast to the NT church.
No doubt in my mind that this pope doesn't knew Jesus...And Jesus doesn't know him either...
Jesus will...Read, believe and understand Revelation...
OMG!! Jesus will NOT destroy HIS Church!
Or is he merely an oafish dolt?
Weak man have weak chin.
Old Indian rule.
And yet; where are these 7 Catholic churches today??
Guys with small hands...
Does it mean anything to you that the heresy of this Pope is not questioned anywhere within ‘His’ church?
What HERESY???
This merely OPINION; and ALL Catholics accept the FACT that the pope can OPINE about anything.
. ..and ALL Catholics accept the FACT that they can DISAGREE with the pope about ANYTHING; except church teaching and doctrine.

841 The Church's relationship with the Muslims. "The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day." |
