My recollection of the ‘68 DNC convention riots is that they were outside, on the streets.
Sounds like this one may have the riots inside the convention hall itself.
I’ll be watching with cold and bitter satisfaction.
68’ was a hoot! Bring back the karma of Jerry Rubin and Abby Hoffman (RIP) and sit back with the popcorn.
“The political left has a long history of purging and infighting over philosophical differences insignificant in the grand scheme of things.”
Indeed, that is why, for example, in Cambodia things like being too smart or too happy were offences punishable by beatings or even death under Pol Pot. These people have a genuinely depraved worldview.
Inside they had naked woman with pigs heads on platters walking down the aisles.
ALL the “GIMMES” are going to be in Philly!!
Blacks support Hillary. College radicals support Bernie. The possibility of a Dem-vs-Dem race war on the streets of Philly must terrify the Dem leadership.
They were already there in 2012. Who can forget such ‘credentialed’ representatives of the party such as Sandra Fluke addressing the crowd? Or the booing of God on the convention floor?
This is just the fetid pimple about to pop. In full view for all to see. and Philly has suspended the liquor laws that they impose on all of us just in time for the occasion. And the illustrious mayor has declared Philadelphia a sanctuary city. What could possibly go wrong?
I'll bet he does...
I know I shouldn’t think this but the word “daisycutter” keeps entering my mind.
What’s the story behind the bottom pic with the red and black flags?
To be fair, there's a world of difference between the two. Clinton is a PNAC neocon, the ideological cousin of John McCain, friend of Wall Street and the 1%. And an arch criminal. Sanders, crusty but at least honest, is pie in the sky socialist who will never get anything done because both parties in congress will block him every step of the way.
FWIW, it's great fun trolling as a Sanders supporter on various Democratic forums.
Feel the Bern!
What do you mean by Philly “suspending liquor laws” for the convention?
The law is still on the books.
Probably things like hours liquor can be sold in bars and restaurants, places that can serve it, etc.
IOW, they’re letting the liquor flow freely!
And Demwits are exponentially meaner than republicans.
Philadelphia is within easy traveling distance of tens of millions of people. Hoards of the disgruntled along the I-95 corridor from NY to DC could descend upon PHL and make that city a nightmare for law enforcement, convention goers and city dwellers.
Cleveland, in comparison, is much more isolated from huge population centers.
