I don’t know about other mid eastern airlines but all Saudia Airlines planes have a large compass overhead in the cabin pointing to Mecca. A few people pray in the aisles even though they don’t need to while traveling. They have to make up for it when they do finish their travel.
At least an ounce of doubt is called for here. I suggest we look for confirming sources.
Question 1: Why the smoke? The pilot didn’t need a bomb to crash the aircraft. He just needed to take care of (or convert) the co-pilot and insure the cabin door was secure.
