Trump rally oozes fear, anxiety, and paranoia
The Boston Globe ^ | April 8, 2016 | Michael A. Cohen

Posted on 05/19/2016 3:56:52 AM PDT by Jim Noble

As I walked into a soundstage Wednesday night at Grumman Studios, which was filled with thousands upon thousands of Donald Trump supporters penned into metal barricades and donning all manner of Trump paraphernalia, I immediately thought of the words Richard Strout of The New Republic used more than four decades ago to describe the scene at a George Wallace rally during the 1968 presidential campaign.

“There is menace in the blood shout of the crowd,” wrote Strout. “You feel you have known this all somewhere. Never again will you read about Berlin in the ’30s without remembering this wild confrontation here of two irrational forces. The American sickness has finally localized; Wallace is the ablest demagogue of our time.”

The analogy to Germany in the 1930s is, to be sure, inexact. But the atmosphere in Bethpage was unlike anything I’ve seen at a political rally. There was an electricity and energy in the room that felt venomous, violent, terrifying — like the political equivalent of parched kindling before a conflagration. If Trump had told the throngs there to go rampage in the streets, I half think most of them would have complied.

The crowd was almost all white, overwhelmingly male, and disproportionately young...

“The analogy to Germany in the 1930s is, to be sure, inexact.”

... so he makes it, anyway.

Leftist pukes.

Trump rally oozes fear, anxiety, and paranoia

It is really sick to stand there and do nothing to help while a rally is oozing.

Those are the bleatings of a very scared status quo who are terrified their apple cart is about to be upended...these people are scared that Trump will take the nation out of the feces it is in to a cleaner, more outstanding, “shining city on the hill”...

Maybe we can advise the writer that he can continue to hide under his bed and someone will let him know when it is safe to come out.

His writing is pure propaganda to instill some sort of fear - he is a POS.

I believe that Mr. Cohen, roughly translated, is saying “These people disagree with me, thus they must be Nazis, mountebanks, idiots, troublemakers, etc.”. The Boston Globe is part of the triad of faux “newspapers” on the East Coast that have faded away and are struggling to stay afloat with billionaire’s money; as I recall, the Boston Globe was bought for one dollar which means the rich dude overpaid.

The really sad part is, this could just as easily have seen print in next month's National Review.

"April 08, 2016"

Now it's May 19, Trump has more-or-less sewn up the Republican nomination, and he even met with Henry Kissinger yesterday.

I doubt very much the guy was there. THe Trump rallies are full of fun and love in the air. There’s anger, but it’s directed at our gov’t and what our leaders have done to us over the years.

Don’t waste your time reading this crap, Folks.

Looks like the mental/emotional cripples are still flailing about trying to stop the best thing to happen to this Nation since Ronald Reagan.........”Mommy! They be boisterously happy and it skeers me.”

This article is over 5 weeks old. What is the purpose of it being posted here at this time?

In politics where 48 hours is an eternity we are supposed to give value to what is best regarded as ancient history?

I don’t think so.

The Boston Globe is the equivalent of the Nazi
propaganda apparatus, run by the White Mosque
and the New YOrk Slimes.

They are PROJECTING their own fear of being
exposed as unAmerican, uncaring, and endlessly
LYING about the news.

He doesn’t understand it, so he makes up negative descriptions for it. Blind and deaf.
