All valid points and you didn’t say these things disrespectfully. Although with #3 all candidates leave their day jobs be it Govenor, Senator, Rep, VP etc to run for the office Cruz isnt the first nor will he be the last. I have no issue if the guy wants to take a one week vacation to recharge. Hell for all we know he is thinking through a great deal that went wrong (introspection). No way he’d get that done in DC. But regardless, I’m ok if he wants to recharge as long as it isnt excessive.

Actually, how many weeks has he taken off since he dropped out? He was also seen at the Kentucky Derby swilling mint juleps.

With all due respect, my issue is that the Senate will no doubt have some sort of Memorial Day vacation, They have their summer recess from mid July thru mid September. Then they adjourn for a month and half starting in October. Taking off a week for posh stay in Mex, in addition to scheduled recess is a luxury that most of us “commoners” don’t have.

I am really tired of Washingtonian’s reality being so divergent from flyover country commoner’s reality. He has been off the campaign for over 2 weeks already.

IMHO He should have stayed for important Senate votes and left for Memorial Day.

As an aside, I think he should have done more to unify the party before taking off for vacay. When he speaks unification and defeating Hillz, that will go a long way towards improving relations between Trump and Cruz supporters.

Look here, both TRUMP and Cruz will be forever charachatures at least for a long time for all the obvious reasons.

Lighten up. I learned in junior high that Americans are famous for their joking around, even cruelty jokes.

In this now PC police culture it is made into some scandal to grouse around and blast some poor schlump for an extended period of time until he goes away or rehabilitates his image.

Trump was a sob with a little humor, who explained himself all the way through for hitting hard. Cruz took himself way too seriously, had no humor and was too cool for school, but turned out to be a very sore loser. We are still mad at Cruz.

We will get over it, when we get over it.

He has some fences to mend himself. He doesn’t want to be a senator right now. He wants more. Too much more, imho.
