Of course it is natural to suspect Perry’s motives after his many failed attempts to pass his self off as a serious contender.
I think that Donald perceives some value with the possibility of including Perry in his administration.
I also believe that Trump has had an intense private conversation recently with Perry and showed him “just how he can be a genuine producer” instead of a bought and paid for politician.
It would be great for all concerned if Perry agreed to put his own ego aside and permit Trump to supervise and coach him in the “art of the deal.”
I think Donald Trump does very well when meeting or talking individually with these would-be conservative skeptics.
Donald Trump is going to bring more of this type of gentlemen on board, one-by-one, until the movement is an unstoppable juggernaut with a massive electorate driving it...

What happened is that Perry is a purely political animal with no immutable, deeply-held values, and has always been thus. Everything is for sale with him.

I wouldn’t trust the conversion of these RINOs one bit.
I take it Perry is auditioning for the veep slot.
Trump’s weakness is already on amnesty, so Perry’s not a guy I want to see chosen.
