Here is what I want to say to Christians for whom the fact that “transgender people are clearly happier and healthier and more fully alive when they are allowed to be transgender” is not a good enough reason to accept transgender people into their homes, workplaces, schools, and bathrooms:
Since Jesus had no human biological father, and since God, his heavenly Father, lacks a body, then Jesus was a man who likely had no Y chromosome. Would this not make Jesus more like a transgender person than a cis-gender one? We could grant Jesus a Y chromosome, but then we would have to assign his virgin mother Mary one as well. Either way, the miracle of sex-less conception suggests that Jesus can qualify as a “real man” only if Mary qualifies as something less than a “real woman.” (And I hope you can tell I that I am using quotation marks in order to signal extreme sarcasm).

Fiction - the fact is 60% of post-op patients get the surgery REVERSED.
The suicide rate (understandably) among pre-ops and also post-ops is substantially higher than any other group, so please don’t tell us these sickos ‘are clearly happier and healthier and more fully alive.’
Evidently being a theologian means you can just pull "facts" like this right out of thin air.
Simply put: the Y-chromosome is not the sole arbiter of maleness or femaleness.
The idea that it is is just the usual media quackspeak.
And in any case: the mystery of the Incarnation overtakes the whole discussion. God created the universe: can He who made man not create a body for the Son of Man?
This is an excellent example of why Paul tells us that we should not let women preach. ;O)

My sentiments exactly. . . The United States is in peril. How much more is God going to allow? We are in final judgment in my opinion. I don’t think the downward slide can get any steeper!
Another perfect example of why the scripture says a woman should not teach or have authority over a man.
Sorry there is no Christian Case for Transgender. This professor of theology needs to return their diploma.

That second paragraph just caused my jaw to drop. I don’t know whether to laugh or be disturbed.
I stopped reading right there, at the point that the author portrayed that lie as a 'fact.'
